09.01.2022 This is a sequence we have been focusing on for the Self Defense section of all GJJ Fundamental classes for two weeks How to manage distance, strike from the floor, defend from the floor and work your way to standing The second section, once standing, is the same but different technique - manage distance/damage, kick to clinch, shift to the rear clinch to avoid damage, take them down or to the wall and control - Coach @monikatritton added in the armlock this is an old video but an important sequence Once coloured belt the attacker wears 16oz gloves and contact is made and encouraged. 08.01.2022 GRACIE JIU JITSU BEGINNERS NOV CAMP the two Academies @graciehumaitabrisbane & @graciehumaitanoosa merged for the first time this Camp which was located @_promovement within @thomassurfboards and it was EPIC we leveled up the camp this time by inc delicious catering by @imimstreetfood , increasing the mat size to 70 square meters and did an extra 1.5 hours of technique between the Sunday classes - brining the total mat time over the two days to 11.5 hours in this... camp we touched on breakfalls/standing in base, three takedowns, knee on belly, north south, 100kg, reverse Kesa Gatame, top/technical/rear mount all peppered with submissions plus defenses to punches, headlocks, chest pushes, throat grabs and double fisted shirt grabs throw in some drilling, positional sparring and matches then you come to a group of humans more Jiu Jitsu then human! our next camp is on the 5th & 6th of December our camps are booked out till April 2021 special thanks to @fenna.deking for capturing our good sides and @landandseabrewery for hosting our team dinner see you on the tatami! @graciehumaitabrisbane @graciehumaitanoosa @graciehumaitaofficial @graciehumaitastore @_promovement @thomassurfboards @jitsurfriends @monikatritton See more
