25.01.2022 The Bob and Middy Blacklock Agility Trophy was awarded to Jacinda Fletcher & Delta

24.01.2022 Classes for tomorrow, 25th October (if it doesn't rain!) will be: Basic Obedience; Basic/Intermediate Rally-O; Rally-O Protocol - in the first half of training. In the second half of training we will have: Basic Manners; Basic Agility and a continuation of Rally-O Protocol. We are offering a limited range of classes tomorrow due to several of our qualified Instructors being away. The weather forecast for tomorrow isn't very promising either, so if we feel that it will almost certainly be raining and we need to cancel classes, we will put up a cancellation notice on this page by 2.30 pm.

23.01.2022 Lots of info for everyone today: 1. Classes for tomorrow, Sunday 8th November, will be: Basic Obedience; Basic/Intermediate Rally-O; Advanced Rally-O - in the first half of training. In the second half of training we will have: Basic Manners; Basic Agility; Intermediate/Advanced Agility; Basic & Intermediate Scent Work; Scent Work for Fun. 2. Our end of year break-up and award presentations will be held on 29th November. If you are eligible for Diplomas, jacket patches or... other awards (see your club Work Book for information on the requirements to earn the various Diplomas), please complete the Annual Awards Application form (2 pages attached) and bring it with you to training. Alternatively, we will have application forms available at training tomorrow. We need your completed forms by the following Sunday,15th November. Each year we normally present a number of trophies for the most successful competitor in various disciplines for the year but with the cancellation of all trials for most of this year due to COVID-19, we have decided not to present those trophies/awards for 2020. Hopefully, we will have lots of club members competing for those trophies and awards next year. 3. Club member and Agility Instructor, Sean Smyth, has generously donated a defibrillator to our club which will be available for all club events. Dieter Meszaros from Clarence Valley First Aid will be delivering our defibrillator tomorrow and will be providing training for all interested members at 3.00 pm. Everyone is most welcome to attend - you never know when you may need to use it! So lots happening tomorrow. Weather is expected to be cloudy but fine and a pleasant 23 degrees. See you there!

18.01.2022 Due to an error in my last post I've had to delete the previous version and put up a whole new post as Facebook wouldn't allow me to edit it for some reason :( For anyone thinking of entering our club's Endurance Test (ET) on 11th July, attached are details. If you need more info, please contact the ET Secretary, Jenny Byrnes (contact details are on the attached advert). The ET is easier than you might think, so if you would like to add an ET title to your dog's name, consider getting your dog ready for this event. Not sure how to go about training your dog for an ET? Contact Carole Bryant, [email protected] for detailed information on "Preparing Your Dog for an Endurance Test". You will also need a copy of the Endurance Test rules which can be downloaded from the Dogs NSW website, or contact Jenny Byrnes.

11.01.2022 This Sunday is our club's last event for the year - our Xmas Party and presentation of annual awards, commencing at 4.30 pm. This will take place in the Showground "Little Barn" (the iron building with the green doors next to our training field). Please bring a plate of food to share. This will be a COVIDSafe event. Disappointingly, the temperature is expected to be 42 degrees and under the rules of our controlling body, Dogs NSW, we are not permitted to involve our dogs i...n any events when the temperature is above 38 degrees. So unfortunately the dress up competition and games we had planned in conjunction with the event will have to be cancelled. However, the good news is that our presentations and Xmas party will still go ahead - with ceiling fans at top speed and all doors in the building open to catch any breeze there might be. So do still come along and help us celebrate and cheer on those who have earned awards. Plus we have a couple of other reasons to celebrate - one is that our club is 50 years old this year (we commenced in 1970) and secondly we have received a grant to build a proper club house at last (no more shipping containers - yay!). Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday at 4.30 pm! See more
