14.01.2022 GRAFTON CATHEDRAL RE-OPEN FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP I am pleased to advise that the Bishop of Grafton has given permission for public worship at Christ Church Cathedral to resume from 7 June 2020. The key elements of the NSW public health restrictions which continue to apply to places of worship include:... Maximum of 50 persons in the congregation Contact details for each person to be recorded and kept on file for 28 days Physical distancing rules to be observed No congregational singing No use of objects involving touch by multiple persons (hymn books, prayer books, offering plate, etc) Holy Communion will only be offered in the form of the consecrated Bread The NSW Government advises people aged 65 years or older not to attend public worship, as are other people with pre-existing health conditions which may make them more susceptible to COVID-19. The Cathedral will continue to live-stream our Sunday worship services and will offer other faith formation eventssuch as the Deans Forum and the Pro-Future Faith programonline rather than in-person. Pre-registration no later than Thursday afternoon each week is advised as numbers will be strictly limited and we need to avoid clusters of people waiting outside the Cathedral while their contact details are recorded. Please note that the only public access to the Cathedral for Sunday services will be via the access ramp on the northern (Fitzroy Street) side of the building. For this Sunday only, if you are not able to register with a phone call to the Parish Office before 5.00pm today, please email me directly with your request and I will confirm whether we can offer you a seat at the Cathedral this Sunday.

11.01.2022 There are lots of these patterns for face masks around, but I like this one as it seems to offer a better fit for the nose, as well as variations for different ...sized persons. We are also keen to have a supply of these for distribution through the Cathedral OpShop, for anyone willing to make a few extra to donate to the store. The instructions for the face mask can be downloaded at no cost from: Craftpassion.com/face-mask-sewing-pattern/

11.01.2022 UPDATE ON PUBLIC WORSHIP The Bishop of Grafton has advised that he will accept applications for permission for Public Worship following the NSW Public Health Or...der of 29 May 2020 which relaxes some of the restrictions on places of worship. Grafton Cathedral is preparing an application to resume worship with congregations limited to 50 persons. We shall post further information here as it becomes available.
