We at Grafton Gliding Club feel that this move is in the best interests of Club members and the wider community. Take care and stay safe.

14.01.2022 Here is a video I made some years ago. I’ve just converted it to mp4 and uploaded to YouTube. The glider is a L13 Blanik which Grafton Gliding Club sold some years ago. The video was shot over Waterview Heights where Grafton Gliding Club used to operate before moving to South Grafton. The video shows a winch launch of the glider in open cockpit mode. During the flight some aerobatic manoeuvres are performed, finishing with a landing. The winch shown in the video is powered b...y a 5.8 litre Ford V8 engine driving the winch drum through a 3-speed automatic transmission. Cheers, Bob https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPVTtKav1w8&feature=share

14.01.2022 Some good news. We have resumed AEFs - air experience flights for people in the Coffs Coast and Clarence Valley areas. People will need to self declare re possible COVID exposure. Call or text 0403088551.

13.01.2022 Recently we had a great gliding day with soaring flights. The last flight of the day was in the late afternoon and lasted for two and a quarter hours. From a launch height of 1300 feet the glider managed to climb to 6300 feet over Grafton and the Clarence Valley. The photos from this flight show the widespread bush fire smoke and drought affected paddocks.

09.01.2022 Sorry everyone but due to the current covid-19 emergency Grafton Gliding Club will not be conducting training or Air Experience Flights until further notice.
