16.01.2022 Mark Blackadder, the Festival Manager was announced today as The Daily Examiner people’s choice Power 30 most influential in the Clarence Valley in 2020 for the second year. This is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved with the festival. Mark would like to thank the army of people involved: all the committee, members, volunteers and sponsors of the Grafton Jacaranda Festival, the businesses that registered to GO PURPLE and the amazing collaborations with Clarence ...Valley Council, Grafton Chamber of Commerce and Clarence Valley Directory. Massive congratulations to the mighty achievers of 2020, the front line health workers, teachers and businesses that had to go the extra mile with the complications that COVID-19 brought to our community.

02.01.2022 GRAFTON JACARANDA FESTIVAL HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL TO OBTAIN $20,000 IN FUNDING TO GO TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A 900 SQUARE METRE MARQUEE FOR MARKET SQUARE! The funding comes from the latest grant round of the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program. The investment in a marquee is so important for shade and weather protection for the community and visitors for events during the festival and the purchase also saves the festival approximately $25,000 in hire fees p...er year. The festival will be fundraising to raise the additional $30,000 required to fund the entire purchase of the Marquee. Chris Gulaptis MP has announced that 23 projects across the Clarence and Richmond Valleys will share in $300,000 to upgrade and revitalise community-based projects. The festival is very grateful for the funding and congratulates all other recipients and wish them all the very best with their amazing projects. Pictured is the proposed design of the truss marquee that will be designed, manufactured and purchased for the festival. The marquee will seat 600 guests for the Caringa Ball on Friday evening, 29 October 2021.
