25.01.2022 Your run director is falling down on the job today . I forgot to thank the volunteers that made today's parkrun possible. A big thank you to: Karen ROSEE Balla TRAORE Margaret RYAN Jacqueline BLOMSTROM Henry SHEEHAN Warren JACKSON John MARSHALL... An extra thank you to Kim Darby for taking lots of excellent photos while taking part today. There does appear to be a delay in the volunteer emails today, but hopefully they will come through soon.

24.01.2022 Hi to all our Grafton parkrunners! Sorry I have been a bit quiet (& lazy) on here for the last couple of weeks. I'm sure you have all been adapting and readjusting to our current situation of social distancing and shutdowns. On a whole, it looks like the short term pain we are feeling is paying off and hopefully things can start to return to normal soon. But for now keep up the good work, stay at home as much as possible, look after each other, and take care of yourself!... We have all been missing seeing each other so please let us know below (share a photo?) of what you and your family have been doing to keep up your exercise and fitness routine. What's your most creative solution to non-parkrun parkrun! Look forward to seeing you all soon!

24.01.2022 Hi Grafton parkrunners. Grab a friend and give it a go! Anywhere, anytime.

23.01.2022 Well it's that time of year again. The Jaca's are starting to flower. Day light savings is here. The days are getting hotter. And that means it must be Grafton parkrun's anniversary? If only. That's right, if we were still meeting this weekend we would have been celebrating our 5th year anniversary for Grafton parkrun. In some ways, so much has happened in this last 12 months, and in other ways - not much has happen at all. Who is your parkrun buddy you wish you were running... with this weekend? And why aren't you running with them this weekend. Why not grab a buddy (or 2), pick a place & time and go do a (not)parkrun somewhere over the weekend. Take a happy snap and send it to us to share with the rest of the crew. And don't forget to log your run through your parkrun profile as a (not)parkrun. Hope you have a great weekend and hope to see you all soon!

22.01.2022 Good Evening Grafton parkrunners. Hope you are all keeping well. It has been great to see a couple of our dedicated friends posting times for (not)parkrun over the last couple of weeks. Here are the participants that managed to complete a 5km walk/run and posted their time via their parkrun profile last week.... If you are keen to get involved yourself, it is easy. Walk/run a 5km course, any time, any where during the week and upload your time via the (not)parkrun page in your athlete profile. If you are not quite sure how it works, drop us a message or check out the FAQ's here: https://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009843618 If you are not so keen.... I feel you. To be honest I struggled a couple of weeks ago to actually get out and do my 1st 5km activity for a looong time. It wasn't easy. But hey, we can do this together. So while we can't get back to meeting as a group and encouraging each other in person, let's lay down the challenge and tag/encourage one of your parkrun friends to get out and complete their first (not)parkrun this week. Let's see if we can have 20 (not)parkrun entries for next week. Also if you are tracking your activity with GPS, maybe upload a picture of your 5km route, so others might like to try it themselves and see if they can match your time. YOU CAN DO IT!! See you soon Your Grafton parkrun team

15.01.2022 (not)parkrun is LIVE NOW Walk, jog or run a 5k route of your choice, on any day, and submit your time online Log your times via your parkrun profile ... https://www.parkrun.com/signin/ See more

14.01.2022 Grafton parkrun #228 - 2/1/21 Was great to see so many parkrunners out on the first parkrun for 2021! Started off as a bit of a damp morning, but high spirits all round. This week 85 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 9 were first timers and 5 recorded new Personal Bests. Well done!... After such a long wait it was great to see Georgia Philp reach her 50th milestone and Erin Hassett reach her 100th parkrun. Congratulations ladies. (And well done Erin for getting the whole Hassett Team there!) This weeks parkrun was made possible with the help of some great volunteers. Darryll SMIDT Balla TRAORE Kathyn LENTFER Carrol BROWN Jacqueline BLOMSTROM Kristy SMIDT Jean TULLY Robert BOOTH Warren JACKSON. Thanks so much for your help, couldn't do it with out you. See you next time! Results are available here: https://www.parkrun.com.au/grafton/results/latestresults/

13.01.2022 ******Important Information****** QR CODE - Grafton parkrun. When Grafton parkrun reopens we will be required to display a unique QR code for contact tracing purposes and we will be strongly encouraging ALL participants to sign in each week. This system currently exists for parkruns in Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, New Zealand and the ACT and is working effectively. We will pin the QR code to the top of our page and ask you ALL to check in before you arrive or as soon as you get to parkrun. We will also have it printed out and available at the briefing area as you arrive.

12.01.2022 Hi Grafton parkrunners. Just a reminder that given the current virus outbreak and health advice, all parkrun events have been cancelled until further notice. Please stay safe, look after your health and care for each other. Can't wait to get back together when we can.

11.01.2022 It was a great morning at Grafton parkrun. 78 people walked, jogged, or ran our course today. We welcomed 3 first timers & 11 people recorded personal best times. Congratulations to William Marshall who ran his 50th parkrun today & Dallas Leven who ran his 100th. Happy Birthday to one of our regular young runners, Lachlan Wilcox. Results & photos are now available.

07.01.2022 Hello, anyone still out there???? Well, believe it or not, it has now been 3 months since we have all been able to share in parkrun together and share some laughs, smiles and high fives! Unfortunately it will still be a little bit longer before parkrun gets the all clear to be up and running again.... But to start getting us back in the grove, parkrun AUS, are excited to launch (not)parkrun this week. This will be an opportunity for everyone to run, walk or jog any 5km route they choose and upload their time through your parkrun profile page. However because it is (not)parkrun, they will not add to your overall parkrun tally. For more info check out the latest newsletter here: https://blog.parkrun.com/au/2020/06/10/notparkrun-is-here/ Looking forward to seeing you all again soon(?). Hope you all have a good week.

07.01.2022 Hey parkrunners, another week comes to a close & that means parkrun tomorrow. Looks like it should be a nice morning, so I hope to see many of you out there. We could use a couple of marshals & a photographer for tomorrow’s run, if anyone would like to volunteer.

06.01.2022 On this weekend

04.01.2022 Please remember everyone needs to sign in with the Service NSW app if you are attending Grafton parkrun. You can do it now before you arrive (using this picture) or look for the posters around the arrival/briefing area.

02.01.2022 **Update** - Thanks everyone, we have a full roster for this week. Please keep the names coming for the next few weeks. Can you spot what is missing in this picture??? As you know, parkrun operates on a volunteer basis for all roles, each week. We rely on everyone jumping in and helping out when they can to fill the roles we are required to have to ensure we can operate efficiently and safely each week.... All roles are easy to carry out, with no experience or skill required. Only pre-requisite is for Timekeeper & Barcode Scanning, you will need your own smart phone with the parkrun Virtual Volunteer App installed. We also love to have a photographer each week to catch everyone's efforts and smiling faces. If you have your own camera that you are happy to use, we will give you a SD card to take the pictures on, and return to us, which makes it easy for us to upload when we are finished. Please comment below or let us know via our email ([email protected]) when you can help out and what role you would like to do. Otherwise see the Run Director on a Saturday after you finish parkrun to put your name down for a coming week.
