23.01.2022 'It hasn’t been easy, but look what we’ve produced!' Thank you to all our students, teachers, school staff and parents and carers who have made this a year to remember. See you next year for #FirstDay2021! #LoveWhereYouLearn *Posted by the NSW Department of Education*

19.01.2022 Community Notice The NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is urging all residents in the Northern Rivers area to get ready for the upcoming storm and flood season. The weather event we are currently experiencing is a taste of things to come. These unstable conditions will continue over the next few months with La Nina predicted to bring more unstable weather to the Northern Rivers. We will see more storms, and the increased possibility of low-pressure systems and cyclones. These severe weather events include an increased chance of rainfall and the possibility of floods.

18.01.2022 Well done Mr Avery and Mr Keogh on a successful Grafton to Inverell cycling event today. We are so proud of both your efforts!

17.01.2022 Some post Parade photos from the Primary campus. There were some amazing creations!

17.01.2022 "Follow your dreams","Reach for the Stars", "Strive hard for your goals" and "Never give up" are just a few of the inspirational messages we try to instill in our young students, and our staff try to lead by example. On the weekend two of our staff members did just that by taking on the extremely challenging Grafton to Inverell Cycle Race. Well done to Mr Keogh and Mr Avery, the students and staff at Grafton Public School are very proud of your efforts. For Mr Keogh, it was ...the first time he has attempted the race and he finished with a smile (maybe a grimacing smile). He said that he had a lot of fun with a great group of fellow riders during the race and can now tick off one of his life goals. This was Mr Avery's 7th finish for the race. Mr Avery's goal for the race was not only to finish but to be the "pacer" and support rider at the back of the field. Mr Avery encourages all of those riders who are struggling to keep going and managed to get the last of the riders over the finish line with just 2 minutes to spare within the time limit. Mr Keogh and Mr Avery's dedication and commitment to a challenging goal is indeed inspiring for our students.

12.01.2022 Dear Families, Thank you for your on-going support of our school during the year. Today was the last day of school for all the students in 2020 and we farewelled our Year 6 students off with some party music, cheers and smiles. (The dancing wasn’t as good as Mr Stanford’s at the Yr 6 Farewell dinner ) Stay safe, enjoy your family time over the school holidays and we look forward to seeing you in 2021!

11.01.2022 A massive effort was shown by each and every student at our school Cross Country event today for students in Years 2-6. It was a great morning with loads of smiles, alot of heart, at times heavy breathing and heaps of fun! Special thanks to Mr Avery for organising this successful event. The top 6 students in each age group will now compete at the Clarence District Cross Country event later in April.

02.01.2022 Here are the grade requirements for 2021. This might come in handy for those looking for stocking fillers. There is no need to rush out and have all items at school on day 1 (Friday 29th of January) as there are usually many back to school specials early in the term. Any contributions during the few weeks would be appreciated by classroom teachers.

01.01.2022 NSW PSSA Swimming Titles (Sydney) Congratulations to Hannah who placed 10th over all in the open seniors MC freestyle and ranked 3rd in the s14 mc seniors for the 50m freestyle.
