An interesting example is the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. The observation tower was built in 1962 and currently requires major renovations. I was absolutely astonished by the very poor quality that has been provided ,a real bucket of rubbish. So if you are building a new home or having an Addition or major Renovation done and are having trouble please don’t pay any further payments until you are happy with the work.

08.01.2022 On Thursday we saw another Building Company collapse causing grief to over 50 home builders as well liability concerns for many others who have had their Homes built with that Builder. The State Government needs to prioritize the up coming review of the Building Act and Legislation as well as a shake up and revamp of the Building Commission to give it more power to be more diligent in registering new Builders along with increased power to deregister unscrupulous Builders and Anti Phoenixing provisions. There also needs to be an increased focus on Financial Management and Technical training along with mandatory CPD for all Building Practitioners and Building Contractors. I urge anyone who has had problems with unscrupulous Builders or Subcontractors to immediately write to the Minister and the Building Commissioner raising your concerns.

07.01.2022 I was recently engaged to do a Pre Purchase Building Inspection for a Client. What was uncovered was that there had been a Fire in the Home and the evidence of poor quality repairs were clear to see.
06.01.2022 As suspected many people are getting caught up in the hype of the building bonuses only to find out that they will be waiting in excess of 12mths for their dream home to be completed. This is completely unacceptable, before you sign your Contract please ensure an acceptable timeframe is recorded in the Contract. It should not take 12mths to build your new home. Stand up for your rights here and don’t let the Builder tell you otherwise.
