23.01.2022 Sometimes (always) there are jobs to be done around your own home. Having been inspired by Marie Kondo I added some shelves into our bedroom cupboard so that we could have drawers to neatly fold our clothes into.

23.01.2022 Brick pointing - where the mortar in cement has weathered or broken it can be replaced effectively.

19.01.2022 One recent project - laundry upgrade. Got rid of the old tub, put the dryer on the wall, put in bench top with new sink and a wall cupboard for storage. Broom board on the wall houses rechargeable vacuum and brooms.

15.01.2022 Day 2 building some garden beds for a wonderful teacher colleague.

13.01.2022 A replacement deck built in Melb. Using Ecodeck which never needs painting and relocating a new set of stairs to give more space on the deck. It was wonderful having the assistance of my sister in law on this project.

11.01.2022 New stairs built at our place. The old brick stairs are now covered by the pool decking.

09.01.2022 Building an internal wall with gyprock on both sides and a door.

06.01.2022 Recently painted these two walls as part of a Reno job. They are exactly the same color from the same paint tin. The difference is in the room lights. The room on the left has ‘cool’ colored lights with an open window letting in natural light and the room on the right has ‘warm’ colored lights with a curtain over the window. Check your lighting when choosing paint colors. It makes a difference.

05.01.2022 A/C filters need cleaning regularly. It really makes a difference. On the left is a dirty filter, and on the right a cleaned one. These are from a wall mounted A/C. You can do these yourself, but if you want to be guided through it, for the cost of a service call, I can do that. Book in.

04.01.2022 Garden bed created to make it neater.

01.01.2022 Lattice extension on a color bond fence. Had a shade cloth backing to improve privacy. Just two panels gave enough to cover the deck area.

01.01.2022 Mondays job - reconnect FAAC auto gate within specs and test. All good.
