24.01.2022 Cant believe its already been a year since Emily and I launched our last picture book. The next one is on the way... its taken longer to get to the illustrations for Swampy Swamp Monster than I was expecting, but the roughs are just about done and three of the final illos are done.

23.01.2022 It depends on how you look at it.

22.01.2022 It's taking on a life of it's own now

22.01.2022 Expressions of interest are now open for the 2021 I Maitland Indie Writers Festival and will be open until Midnight, September 1st. While the festival will be o...ne of the first to again be held in physical venues, we'll also be looking to live stream events through Zoom, expanding our reach fara beyond the local region.. If you'd like to speak or perform at the festival, run a workshop, or sell your books at the festival bookshop, then follow the links on our website. All indoor sessions next year will have to be booked through the website. For those without internet access, we'll assist with bookings at the bookshop on the day. There'll also be a portal to the bookshop on the site so you can purchase your books in advance and pick them up on the day of the festival. We've already got some terrific speakers lined up, and this year's program will feature more film, drama, and music components. We'll be looking forward to seeing what great ideas people have to offer for 2021. Graham Davidson Festival Director https://ifmaitland.org/eois/

12.01.2022 It was such a tremendous honour to join Anne Donnelly and Jacqueline De Rose-Ahern, with Katrina Roe, Author as moderator, on a panel discussing indendent publishing yesterday at the Writing NSW 2018 Kids & YA Festival. It feels pretty amazing to be taking parts in such events less than six months after Storytime Lanes initial launch. Special thanks to Emily Smith for taking the pics and for your support on the day.

12.01.2022 I couldn't believe it this morning when I heard on the news that our deputy premier is supporting the NRL's move to restart in May and that the NSW Police have ...ticked off on it. Is Rugby League really a special case that warrants it being treated any differently from every other sport and cultural activity? How does this encourage the rest of the population to take social distancing seriously? See more
