25.01.2022 ‘GOLF’ BALLS AND FIRE Community Safety is my life and will be a key commitment if I’m given the honour of representing you on Council. I am appalled with Council’s inertia and lack of regard to community safety as evidenced below: As the Incident Controller of the recent horrendous Tarella Road house fire, I was horrified that it took public statements from myself about the intensity of the fire, dangers to neighbouring residents, hording and inappropriate use of residentia...Continue reading
15.01.2022 WHAT IS SHARED RESPONSIBILITY? Thank you for the outstanding response to my video regarding Building A Connected Kingston. Do they have real life experience building a ‘connected community’ with a culture of ‘shared responsibility’, or is it just words? MY EXPERIENCE ...Continue reading
09.01.2022 BUILDING A CONNECTED KINGSTON COMMUNITY Have a listen to some thoughts I have on this important subject and if you agree Vote 1 Graham Fountain for Sandpiper.
01.01.2022 INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY MATTER Having been a Board Chair of a national disability service provider, I know first-hand the importance of accessibility and inclusion. Child safety and protection is also a fundamental moral and legal obligation on us all. This is much more than having a policy in place and working with children checks. ... My wife is a personal carer supporting seniors in our community and my daughter is a registered nurse (frontline workers). Together, with me as your local CFA Captain, we know what the most vulnerable members of our community need. It is for this reason one of my primary commitments is supporting seniors, children and those with special needs. On this basis I am pleased to support the Association for Children with a Disability Action Plan for children with disability and their families in Victoria. Are these key considerations in Council decisions? Unfortunately, I think not. VOTE 1 GRAHAM FOUNTAIN FOR SANDPIPER to make a real difference to improve the lives of seniors, children and members of our community with special needs. https://www.acd.org.au//ACD-Local-Government-Action-Plan_a
