25.01.2022 Australia’s wheat exports will prove even stronger than had been thought this season, lifting expectations for barley and canola too. Traders will be looking forward to 2022 for new export market opportunities assuming we have another bumper season ahead. Abares, Australia’s official commodities bureau is reporting that they will have raised from 862,000 tonnes to 21.36m tonnes during October 2020 - September 2021 export forecast. Exports at this level will be the country’s ...largest in four years, and the third biggest on record. This is more than double the 9.13m tonnes in shipments recorded last season, after a drought-hit harvest. The upgrade is not just showing an increase in harvest estimate, but also a lag in Australian domestic wheat prices below those of our export market opportunities. 14.01.2022 The USDA weekly report shows that corn planting progress is exceeding expectations in major growing states. Investors expected a 17% progress reading but the national reading was 19%, as of April 18. This is a 12 point gain from the previous year and a 7 point gain to the 5 year average.

11.01.2022 The latest report on US Winter Wheat conditions puts crop progress slightly lower than expected. While investors expected a 52% figure, the national rating was 49%. Most notably, Texas and Montana had the largest change, decreasing 10 points since last week.

09.01.2022 Another week means another weekly rating. US and world corn supply fell short of forecasted levels while soybeans and wheat exceeded expectations. US cotton production was in line with market forecasts but exports and end stocks varied at both the US and world levels. South American crops had a strong week. Both corn and soybeans bean market expectations.
