16.01.2022 Big win announcement! Grampians Excavations completed their second major appointment for SNC LAVALIN & WBHO JV. As part of the Stockyard Hill Windfarm, local roads and intersections are being upgraded to accommodate the additional traffic and oversized vehicles. Grampians Excavations were appointed to complete the Beaufort-Carranballac Road and Toppers Lane Intersection located in Stockyard Hill. That means we removed and upgraded 4,665m of existing road pavement, upgraded t...he intersection drainage and swales and installed a new splitter island, re-sealing and line marking. To put it into perspective, our team has started building four in-situ concrete crossings in addition to installing 2,300m of permanent access track and 2,270m of track duplication including three turnouts. This involves the stabilisation of over 33,000m2 of subgrade and importation of over 20,000 tonnes on quarry material. Whilst... we are there we will remove and replace five drainage culvert structures, install six new drainage lines and upgrade the Farmers Rail Crossing. "We’re excited to be up and running for 2021.
