11.01.2022 Every day around 18 Victorians will have a cardiac arrest, with only 1 in 10 surviving. Bystander intervention has the greatest impact of improving that rate. ... October is now dubbed 'Shocktober', as Ambulance Victoria encourages all Victorians to learn CPR and locate their nearest AED. 09.01.2022 Robert is now qualified to train HLTAID005-Provide First Aid in Remote Situations. The course includes: * HLTAID001 - CPR * HLTAID002 - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support * HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid... This first aid course will allow you to develop skills and knowledge and most importantly, confidence, to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies when in a remote situation. Providing effective, lifesaving first aid interventions requires instruction and practical training. This is especially true where it relates to potentially fatal illnesses and injuries, such as those that require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or involve severe bleeding in a challenging environment and where help is further away. These procedures carry a risk of further injury to the casualty and the first aider. As with any training, it is more useful if training occurs before being confronted with an actual real-life situation. You will develop the skills to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and promote recovery. It includes initial intervention techniques such as performing CPR, as well as the first aid treatment of other conditions, such as administering an autoinjector, or asthma medication, or assisting someone choking. The course is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and applies to all workers or members of the community who may be required to provide CPR in the event of an emergency.

06.01.2022 Remember, when we do business together, we are #Strongertogether

02.01.2022 We are still conducting weekly First Aid Courses here in Ararat every Thursday. Please refer to below letter advising our efforts in maintaining a safe and healthy environment while conducting these courses. To our valued customers It is not uncommon for all of us to journey through uncertain times. And with the COVID-19 outbreak it is safe to say we are sailing through a period of the unknown. What is paramount though to all our valued customers is safety and confidence at...tending courses. Grampians First Aid would like to reach out to you during these challenging times to let you know we are open for business and working to make sure our business will operate for you as normal as possible. With the World Health Organisation (WHO) declaring the Corona virus outbreak a pandemic and the response from the Australian Government who have implemented some stringent regulations, I believe we can look ahead to some very uncertain times for all of us. We have organised more intensive, deep cleansing and sanitizing of all surfaces and desks and are making Anti-Bacterial / Germicidal wipes easily accessible within our training facility so you can attend courses with confidence. Thank you for your continued trust in us and we look forward to your continued business. Robert Bell Grampians First Aid See more
