20.01.2022 It’s been a really gradual thing, feeling comfortable enough to put myself out there through my business, starting with little things; feeling ok using ‘I’ and ‘me’ in my posts, sharing small snippets, thoughts, musings & ideas, and eventually feeling confident enough to get in front of the camera and even share some of my most personal experiences and life lessons. I believe wholeheartedly that, not unlike parenting, having your own start-up is one of the most powerful vehi...cles of self-discovery and development going. There are times when you have no choice but to step out of your comfort zone for the best outcome; where you know deep in your heart that no matter how difficult, you will need to rise to meet a challenge face-to-face because it’s the only way you will be able to grow. I also wholeheartedly believe that in business and in life, when you take bold action with pure intention that the universe delivers more opportunities for the same. Earlier this year, in the lead up to Mother’s Day, I made the decision to share one of the most personal stories of my life via this platform. I was scared. But I also just couldn’t shake the feeling that it was the right thing to do. As a result of that, I received the most incredible outpouring of kindness and friendship, and mostly from people I had never even met in person. Without wanting to sound trite, I honestly can’t overstate the depth of impact that had for me, the sense of connectedness to others, the healing force of sharing... then when I was the approached by Steph, the host of Motherland Australia with the opportunity to go even deeper on her podcast, I was scared again (Heck! I’m still super nervous! ) but I knew it was the right thing to do. I’m so deeply grateful that this business and this platform has provided an opportunity (in such unexpected ways!) for me to connect with others, especially other Mums and other women in business. 05.01.2022 In case you missed it on Friday’s stories, the first drop of the brand new GGCo. Paddock Pillows are in full production! So, what’s the deal? I know it’s not cool, but the truth is I’m not really naturally outdoorsy myself. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love long walks in the Grampians and being outside at home in smaller doses; walks in the paddocks and Sunday afternoon wines by the campfire etc., but in order to prolong my outside time and ensure full enjoyment of the ...outdoors, I 100% need to be warm and comfy!
