17.01.2022 Happy Birthday to us - Grampians Helicopters has now been operating for 5 years. Pretty proud that not only are we continuing to grow and still love what we do, we love trying to improve and better what we do all the time, but we survived Rona (so far) ha ha. The best thing about all of this is when we receive feedback from passengers about how much they had a great flight, we still love reading every single comment, it's always the icing on the cake.

17.01.2022 Known as Gariwerd by local Indigenous people, the region has been home to the Djab Wurrung and Jardwardjali people for 20,000 years and contains the densest concentration of rock art paintings and the largest assemblage of Aboriginal art motifs in Victoria. The Grampians National Park is a dramatic landform with sweeping western slopes, craggy eastern peaks and massive sandstone cliffs that contrast with surrounding plains; extensive forests interrupted by water bodies; and r...ock outcrops, deeply fissured cliffs and weather-sculpted sandstone. The powerful and unusual landscape represents the most important area for floristic richness and endemism in eastern inland Australia, and is important for species richness of freshwater and terrestrial invertebrates. There is an outstanding display of geological features at the Grampians, and archaeological evidence telling the story of indigenous occupation over the last 20,000 years. 08.01.2022 Check out the inversion layer from the smoke off the fire in the Little Desert NP This is a great example of what Justin does with Frost control over the vineyards. Sitting in the inversion layer and pushing the warm air down, however this is done in the dark and relying solely on gauges. Normally, air temperature decreases with an increase in altitude. During an inversion, warmer air is held above cooler air; the normal temperature profile with altitude is inverted. An inversion traps air pollution, such as smog & smoke close to the ground.
