15.01.2022 TOP 5 travel tips and how to be Covid safe. Covid-19 and its many variants has changed the way we holiday. And planning our vacations can be a little more tricky at the moment, but with international travel not an option right now, this is an ideal opportunity to check out our own backyard and with new state and federal government incentives as well as tour operator discounts, there are still ways to be travel savvy and have a hassle free trip.... Here are my TOP 5 Tips - 1. STAY INFORMED - While the situation is always changing, you can still stay up-to-date on the most current travel warnings and restrictions by visiting official websites of your intended destination. Also remember to contact your travel agent, accommodation provider or tourism operator to learn about the local restrictions. Also check with travel insurance providers regarding the Coronavirus inclusion/exclusions on their policy. 2. TRANSPORT - There are still many options open to getting around, but it's still wise to check in with your transport provider and their cancellation policies. Domestic flights are open for travel and considered reasonably safe with our current risk status minimal, but to ensure to keep it that way ALWAYS follow many the precautions set in place. * Wear your mask. * Distance where practical. * Remember cough etiquette and hand hygiene. * Dispose/disinfect your mask appropriately. 3. ACCOMMODATION - With snap lock downs and quarantine processes, many accommodation providers are able to offer flexible policies that may help with allowing booking changes... check in with them. 4. SOCIAL DISTANCING AND HYGIENE - NEVER be complacent on social distancing and hand hygiene practices. We've seen how quickly infections rates rise (Just ask anyone from Victoria). When travelling remember to make the effort to commit to social distances where possible and if not wear a mask. Wash your hands frequently/sanitise especially before eating. Get tested/stay at home if you have any symptoms no matter how mild. 5. DIY HYGIENE KIT - Carry your own hygiene kit. This should include hand sanitiser, disposable & re-usable masks and disinfectant wipes. Particularly useful where hand washing facilities are not available

12.01.2022 This beautiful couple will be #honeymooning this week at the Oasis, however getting to this point was no mean feat. This is very much a #threesthecharm tale. Their story begins with a date booked in 2019 which had to be rescheduled to 2020 because the bride broke her foot. And as for 2020, well we all know what happened there. I’m pleased to say congratulations, and enjoy this well deserved holiday at #granadillaoasis xxx

Please put this on your bucket list when visiting #fnq A visit to Mossman Gorge is a must-do for anyone travelling to the beautiful Far North Queensland region. 01.01.2022 If you’re currently staying at our #oasis or anywhere in the Cairns region, make some time to head over to #kuranda and stop by the lookout to check out Barron Fall. With all the recent rains, they are showing off in all their magnificent powerful glory. And while you are in the area hit @kurandavillage for a bit of shopping, dining or doing the tourist thing at all the local attractions. #cairnsaustralia #granadillaoasis #barronfalls #kurandascenicrailway #travelblogger
