20.01.2022 Caprice recently helped Ray reset his lost Service NSW account password, so he can now access the app on his phone. In the session they went through how you install an app from the Google app store and how to use the Service NSW app to scan a QR code to sign it at a location. Ray is now equipped with the know-how of signing in and registering when he’s out and about! #grandaidsaustralia #inhome #technologyassistance

17.01.2022 Mikaela has been working with Mark over the past couple of months. They have covered a lot of ground from getting Mark set up on his new laptop, to helping Mark learn email and send his first email to a friend in Tassie, to learning how to search credible sources on Google. Today, Mark practiced using Ancestry, which is a website that allows you to research your family history. He has built up his family tree and added information about his family members to make sure their records are as accurate as possible. Through his research, Mark has discovered many interesting things about people in his family, dating back hundreds of years ago! #inhome #technologyassistance #grandaidsaustralia

09.01.2022 Sylvester and Pamela needed help setting up their new HP printer which wouldn't connect for printing property. Grandaids Mentor Verena made sure to install the printer driver on the PC and to connect the printer to WiFi as well as USB. They also had a chat (Scruffy the pup joined) about mobile phones Grandaids recommends for people without smartphone experience. Given the need to sign in with QR codes at many shops and Cafes, Sylvester and Pamela are need...ing a phone that connects to the internet. The options out there start at $150 so don't shy away from getting that cheaper, easy to use smartphone, to stay connected and able to go out. Sylvester and Pamela now feel more empowered with the knowledge they need to purchase the phone they require. #inhome #technologyassistance #oneonone #grandaidsaustralia #understanding #patience #connection See more
