19.01.2022 One of our parents saw a snake on Grandis Boulevard near St John Paul II this morning. Please take time to talk with your child about what they should do if they see a snake. Some suggestsions are below. 1. Don't panic!! The snake has probably already seen you too. Most snakes will try to escape and get away from humans. Snakes usually only bite if provoked so leave it alone and stay well away from it. 2. Do not try to catch, kill or take a photo of the snake.... 3. Keep an eye on the snake as you walk well away from it. 4. Keep pets and young children well away from the snake and the area in which it was seen. No snake left alone is dangerous. 5. Tell an adult where you saw the snake as soon as you can.

08.01.2022 Grandis Primary School is in the process of implementing a whole school approach to behaviour management called Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). This is a school wide strategy to help promote a positive school environment and help all students achieve important social and learning goals. PBS helps establish clear behaviour expectations for our school community. It provides a common language and understanding to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be successful. Our four P...BS Behaviour Expectations are: We are Kind We are Respectful We are Responsible We are Learners We are asking the students help us create mascots for each Behaviour Expectation. The staff have decided to use our amazing Grandis art pieces as the basis for each mascot. Next week we will send out an information sheet that explains what students need to do to enter the competition. Our Principal, Mr Bevan, has created a short video that explains how students might go about creating a mascot. We hope this is useful and that as many students as possible will consider submitting entries. https://vimeo.com/456876089/dfdb0176f0
