"From the service to the food - a great experience all round. Only regret is that I only ordered one portion and if I had time before they closed to pick up another portion I would. Gluten free options available suitable for a coeliac. Highly recommend the Hake and chips. 24.01.2022 Nothing, NOTHING!!! beats hand cut Maris Piper potato chips. Unless of course you add a nice piece of Cod or perhaps a battered sausage (sausage in batter for our Welsh fans).

Walking all the way from our hotel to here, although there is a bit difficult to look for this restaurant but we did not give up after seeing all the comments about Grand Lane Fish House were so good! Friendly owner, explain and let us know whats the special and also what they have on the menu one by one to us. Love their Cod fish so much! people who travelling to Perth must try!!! We HAD to turn off uber eats and HAD to take the phone off the hook.(This had a queuing system we never knew was in place which was annoying for some) The staff and I want to sincerely thank you all for your patience.

18.01.2022 We recieved this review this morning and it made our day already!!!! "'part of me was (and is) very reluctant to put in a review of this gem of a place. One of the best kept secrets (or not) in Perth, this charming and unpretentious eatery served up one of the best meals of our trip to Australia.... The chef at Grand Lane Fish House is this enigmatic chap who took his time patiently going through the menu with the group of us, detailing the different types of fish and their respective properties and origins, explaining the differences in preparation and tastes of the dishes. After what felt more like a very entertaining lesson on fish & chips, we finally somehow managed to decide on our orders... Boy, when the food arrived, did they not disappoint! As to be expected, the variants of fish on offer piqued and appealed to different palettes, and they were all excellent. The calamari was done to perfection, think: succulent and thick rings that were tender on the inside with a thin crunchy layer of golden brown batter on the outside. The "special" signature fries were simply amazing. Downright sinful but it was so good we had second servings. In fact, Grand Lane set the bar so high for fish and chips that we were almost disappointed with any of the remaining fish and chips meals we had for the rest of our 12 days in Australia. Definitely a must-try.

"We are in Perth on vacation after getting off a cruise and we were in the city centre looking for a bite to eat. My British husband wanted some nice fish and chips and googled some online. We import our very crunchy and tasty batter from overseas and due to COVID, we have been unable to get a consistent supply. We are in the looks for locally sourced gluten free that is up to our standards but to no luck. We understand this a disappointment to our GF Customers but we would like to say our chips are always gluten free and fish can be offered pan fried.
