04.01.2022 Late April and the trufferie is awash with field mushrooms and toadstools. There was a mad storm last night. I mention this because the ancient Greeks believed truffles were created by claps of thunder. There may be something in it... Badger got away from me today and dug up a couple of immature specimens in a matter of seconds. It seems the soil is working it's magic. A few weeks of frosts and autumn rain and we'll be in another Truffle Season. So truffle lovers, time t...o start thinking about whether you'll require any truffles this year. Last year we were so inundated with orders for the same weekend that we had to disappoint a couple of people, which we hate doing. With notice we can plan hunts around your event/dinner party/secret addiction. So I guess what I'm trying to say, if you do have special event coming up which you want to make more special with truffle, message us and we'll make sure you're looked after. See more
