19.01.2022 The Grand Old Duke has been part of our family for over 5 years now. Although that’s not a long time, especially when you consider its age, it’s meant a lot to us to be part of its history. As caretakers of GOD (as we call it) and boutique hotel operators we have the ability to not only share it with others but also maintain and faithfully preserve it. A few months ago part of the ceiling collapsed and we found just the right specialist to repair it. After all, horsehair and wet cornices are not used often these days! The point is, the ability to make these large heritage-listed buildings commercially viable enables their preservation.
