14.01.2022 Someone asked how to decide what friend requests to accept. Here is my answer Check the profile for the following - Their profile must have 1. minimum of 80 friends in common. 2. Recent posts written by them, not just shared posts. 3. a long history of posts. 4. varied photos of their profile picture, not just the circle picture repeated. 5. Some form of common interest (for me it is people in business) ADDItional notes, I rarely accept requests from men, many that I did early on were not requesting for the right reasons. If I get hit up immediately for joining an MLM or other then I will respond politely with a NO, they often then remove themselves however if my choice is respected I will keep them on.

08.01.2022 Bio tweaked, so sharing I am an author, speaker and Master Coach with SMJ Institute, while managing multiple family businesses. I have dabbled in many pursuits over my 46 years of work and business, while living mostly in the bush. I have experience in various fields from Hospitality and Retail through to Management, Engineering and Education finance. My entrepreneurial life started in my early 20’s when dabbling in party plan businesses, and various multi-level marketing opportunities through to conventional businesses later. Having been programmed by family and culture to believe that I could not succeed at anything, I have a huge passion to see others come into their own, even more so since becoming chronically ill in 2012 and fighting that diagnosis (bedridden for life) to be where I am now.

04.01.2022 Diversification We have all heard the saying don’t keep all your eggs in one basket but how many of us do this in so many areas of life and business? Well it is the same with any income producing activities, we are accustomed to a cultural norm from earlier years which saw people get into a trade, business or job and stay there until retirement. Our work culture has changed dramatically, we have a new playing field available with online services, few people now stay in on...e career and many employers no longer offer full time opportunities. I hear some business owners saying they need to compete against the internet, rural businesses suffering from financial downturn due to drought conditions, and workers struggling to make ends meet. How can we improve our prospects? Well we need to diversify, to be open to change and flexibility, and be prepared to learn different skills along with placing our investments in different baskets too. That may mean having a diversified portfolio through one Super fund or it may include real estate and other opportunities. While doing that, make sure you use more than one banking institution, if you have risky accounts like overdrafts that provide banks with greater powers over your assets then having an account in another bank means you don’t need to go through the multiple layers of identity proof before being able to use another system.
