25.01.2022 Powers Look Out. Another must see attraction around King Valley.

21.01.2022 * edited to add for people currently not in Mansfield that the clear skies of 24 hours ago in the video are now Smokey in Mansfield. I suspect most of Victoria ...is getting the smoke now. Mansfield is currently at a Watch and Act status as of 11.50am. The fires are terrible and many of us could be in danger over the coming days however I think it is important not to get hysterical. Mount Buller isn’t on fire as reported. There are fires in the areas around Mt Buller. There are currently no fires endangering town - Mansfield (as of 9.50am). It’s hard to look at the news and social media and not get a bit panicked over all the devastation and media talk of apocalypse and Armageddon. Be calm and look out for vulnerable neighbours. I have added a video I took 24 hours ago up in the mountains and as you can see it’s not crispy everywhere. Evacuating the Alpine areas is necessary to keep as many tourists out of the area so if things do get worse there are less people to try and rescue. It’s good to get word out but we need to all calm down a bit and be rational.

17.01.2022 We found a shortcut to plain creek water fall. Rather than walking 7 km from the vast of the creek we drove to the sign to Tramway bridge and then walked 2 km to the waterfall.

10.01.2022 Just had a beautiful brekky at Bounty - the recently opened cafe/restaurant in Bonnie Doon. It was fantastic. We all had something different and it was all very fresh, tasty and beautifully cooked. Now can’t wait to try their dinner menu. It looks amazing too.
