24.01.2022 Another lockdown project done! This one has pockets. Made from a big bag of stash yarn (hence all the colours) that has been in the back of my craft room cupboard for years. Something about the ISO makes you want to hang out in these chunky, oversized garments. Nice and warm and cuddly. 22.01.2022 Looking for some positives to lockdown. Some days they are hard to find! It is a great chance to sort through my stash of yarn and fabric and create things with what I have. I have decided to document what I make at this time so when this craziness is over, I can look back and have something to show for all the time spent at home distanced from family and friends. First item finished is this chunky cotton jacket. It is loosely based on the campfire cardigan but no real pattern, just a bit of make it up as I go along. 20.01.2022 I am really enjoying knitting with this Lily Sugar n Cream cotton yarn. It’s so nice to use, does not split. I can see I am going to have a whole collection of these little cardigans, I have put so many colours aside that I want to use. I think it’s between an 8ply and a 10ply equivalent. I used 5mm needles for this garment. . I used pattern Bug Warmer by Taiga Hillard Designs. 15.01.2022 My completed ‘sunburnt country’ blanket. I made this from a gorgeous selection of hand dyed yarns I was given as an advent calendar gift for Christmas. I got five granny squares from each mini skein. I joined them all together with Katia Air Alpaca. All 4 ply yarns, this blanket is as light as a feather but very warm. I love it.
