19.01.2022 I've just completed my first 15 days on the job as the CEO of the YMCA of the Top End. There is much to learn and to do, but I'm loving the job and can't wait to get some runs on the board. I've developed a 100 Day Plan and outlined some key priorities which include: 1. Develop a staff engagement plan, working to make the YTE an employer of choice. 2. Develop an internal communication plan, working to ensure that people who work at the YTE know what is going on, where it goe...s on and who makes it go on. 3. Get everyone thinking about BUSINESS EVOLUTION as opposed to CHANGE. The best job you've ever had should be the one you're doing right now.

18.01.2022 Saying thanks is one of the most important things you can do. However, saying sorry is vital. Apologising when you've made a mistake or hurt someone's feelings will build more credibility for you than the exciting achievements you list. Check out this great article on the value of saying sorry. https://www.psychologytoday.com///go-ahead-say-youre-sorry

13.01.2022 It's Territory Day in the Top End. I trust that everyone has a safe and happy night. This is one of those nights it is important to keep an eye on the kids and make sure they can't get their fingers burnt. Have a great night one and all.

12.01.2022 I've found somewhere I'd love to go, to visit and to support. https://www.facebook.com/YMCA-Telavi-197248024931/timeline/.

12.01.2022 Networking is perhaps one of the most UNDER-rated of skills. There is a right way and a wrong way. Here's some great thoughts on the RIGHT way. http://www.businessinsider.com.au/3-things-extremely-lucky-
