09.01.2022 During PIP this year, Year 10 Students have been participating in the entrepreneurial program, 'Shark Tank.' The program teaches students to think creatively and develop solutions to real-world problems, while prototyping, pitching and presenting these ideas. The program aims to build the students' skills, knowledge, understanding and personal capabilities to participate and contribute to an ever-changing global society, where students are building their own futures for tomor...row. On Tuesday, Week 6, all students had the opportunity to showcase and exhibit their problems, solutions, and prototypes to a panel of judges. The energy and passion of our students in the room was electric! This resulted in our Top 2 teams, 'Rubbish Solutions' and '8Teen+' pitching to Adelaide University via Zoom in the semi-finals last week, in hopes of reaching the Top 9 in the Nation. Approximately 300 teams were pitching to these judges over 3 days. Both teams received some great feedback regarding their pitches and solutions! It is with great excitement that the 'Rubbish Solutions' team have reached the Top 9! Congratulations to Kassidy, Sophie, Charlotte, Deklin and Luke who will be pitching tomorrow to a new set of judges to potentially win some cash prizes overall and in the environmental category.
