25.01.2022 Slowly getting back to moving the heavier weight, it's not anywhere near where i want to be but it feels good to get a bit more consistency in my training with my Deadlifts and Squats.
23.01.2022 The longer handle attachment allows for that full contraction. Last few reps were a struggle to get the squeeze on but still a nice little exercise to get the Tri' s pumped.

20.01.2022 Meet Emma Emma is a participant of my Conquer Compound Small group PT Program. With the stress of Work, Uni assigmnments and exams it would of been very tempting at times for Em to miss sessions but instead she has been ultra consistent and not missed a single session over the last 9 weeks and has achieved some great results, gains in her strength, we have also identified weak points in her technique and different muscle groups and Em has learnt how to address those weak ...spots with specific exercises. Here's a few words from Em. "I signed up for Grant’s 10 week ‘Conquer Compound’ resistance and strength focused program because I was looking for a way that allowed me to train free from pain or aggravating old injuries. Grant tweaked my lifting technique where required and tailored exercised when extra attention was needed on a particular area or if I was unable to perform a particular movement. Grant ensured all exercises were performed correctly before adding weight, increasing reps or progressing to more advanced versions of exercises. The program was run with a small group however was similar to what you get in PT sessions in a more affordable way. The program was the adjustment I needed to my exercise regime to enable me to return to the gym, train consistently and build a powerful base/foundation of strength. 16.01.2022 Meet Karen Karen spent the last 10 weeks in my Conquer Compound group PT program. At the start of the program Karen was not very confident in her technique with Resistance training and had genuine and warranted concerns over injuring herself with certain lifts. Karen was also looking for training to support her love for Running we needed to provide Karen with a method of training that supplemented her running and by making sure we focused on strengthening her body and givin...g direct attention to the muscles involved namely Karen's ability to activate her glutes and using specific movements to strengthen the quads without overloading and aggravating her knee joint this helped greatly in aiding her ability to be pain free whilst running. 09.01.2022 One of the most disgusting yet beneficial exercises for the lower body that you can perform. The Bulgarian split squat. I will often see clients falter and shift their weight to one side under load whilst performing a bilateral movement like the back squat as one example. This is often a clear indicator of a strength imbalance.... Single leg exercises like the one I am performing above should be made a staple in every leg session to help mitigate any strength imbalances that may arise. See more
09.01.2022 Meet Carl Carl is a member of my Conquer Compound Small group PT class, his Deadlifts have come a long way in a short space of time (along with all of his other lifts) with his commitment, consistency and of course the smart programming that's on offer as a part of my Conquer Compound Carl has gone from never having done more then 100kg Deadlifts to now lifting 150kg for 4 reps as you can see in the video. (Not even his best set for the night might I add) Carl continues to ...progress and he should be very proud of his efforts whilst being involved in my Conquer Compound group and I know he will continue to smash his goals. The next intake for my Conquer Compound opens very soon. As always very limited positions to deliver the upmost quality coaching.
07.01.2022 Each set makes me clearer. Its about so much more then chasing a great body, although that is a welcome side effect whenever I feel overwhelmed by life and it's many stresses getting in the gym is like a form of meditation for me, focusing on nothing but the next rep. When the workout is over the mental clarity I have just makes the rest of the day flow and nothing seems to bother me as much.... Move More Feel Better.
