18.01.2022 Small businesses across Australia can apply for a grant under the Government’s Energy Efficient Communities Program. Up to $20,000 will be available to small businesses with an annual turnover of less than $10 million to upgrade equipment to reduce energy consumption, invest in monitoring systems to better manage energy use and conduct energy audits to investigate other opportunities for efficiency. To ensure an equitable distribution of funding across Australia, up to three grants per electorate will be awarded to eligible small businesses. 12.01.2022 Brisbane City Council is providing $3 million in direct financial assistance to community, cultural, and sport and recreational groups leasing a Council-owned or managed community facility, to help them rebuild and re-commence services to residents after the coronavirus pandemic. The Lord Mayor’s COVID-19 Direct Assistance Program will help not-for-profit lessees cover the costs of operating expenses incurred during their forced closure. It will also support leaseholders who ...have been unable to do maintenance works on their buildings due to lack of revenue as a result of the pandemic. 09.01.2022 Applications are now open for volunteer coaches and officials in regional Western Australia to receive up to $1,000 to support skill development and accreditation. The funding is to assist volunteer coaches and officials in regional WA with out-of-pocket travel and accommodation costs to participate in sport-specific courses to obtain high-level accreditations. The subsidy can be for travel undertaken before 28 February 2021. Online applications close at midnight on 23 Novemb...er. The subsidy is available under the Coach and Official Education Subsidy administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
