11.01.2022 THE only rivalry between the youth of Granville and the police force is on the footy field. Cumberland Youth Liaison Officer Senior Constable Elie El-Jammal and... the teens from Granville Youth and Recreation Centre often get together to kick the soccer ball or have a game of friendly touch football, all in the spirit of bridging gaps and getting to know each other. Its a chance to break down those barriers between the youth and police, where the kids might have a mixed opinion of the police, Constable El-Jammal (pictured) said. They get to know you and you see a change in them for the better. The sports afternoons occur twice a month.
