25.01.2022 What a great morning our pre preps had at their 1st transition day. Lots of playing, making new friends and learning. Thanks to all those who came, looking forward to meeting more of our pre preppies in a fortnight.

25.01.2022 We are looking forward to our first Prep Transition day this Friday. Each prep preppie will receive a take home goodie bag to help them get set for prep.

24.01.2022 What a great parade today celebrating the amazing work being done in our school. Well done to 5/6P for taking out both the Golden Recorder & Golden Boot. 3/4G once again had an attendance rate of 99% for the week, that is only 1 person away for one day! Well done!

23.01.2022 Our Granville Goanna’s after school club have been working hard designing, planning and painting a new mural for our tuck shop with the help of our fabulous teacher aides Miss Rosie, Mrs Blinco and Mrs Scott. We are so excited to see the finished product!

23.01.2022 Tomorrow is our Step Up Day, students will spend an hour with their teacher for 2021 doing getting to know you activities. To our pre preppies we look forward to seeing you so you can meet your teachers for prep. Can the 2021 preps please meet outside the prep classrooms at 9.10am. We have had an influx of enrolment calls, if you know of any new families moving to the area or any children who will eligible for Prep please have them contact the office for enrolment paperwork.

23.01.2022 Tomorrow we will have our author visit by Deano Yipadee. There will be two sessions - one aimed at our younger students and one at our year 3 to 6 students. It’s not too late to pay your $3 to come along and enjoy the show.

22.01.2022 What a great way to start our Book Week all the classes came out this morning and did rug reading. Each day this week we have literacy activities planned. Don’t forget your $3 for Wednesday’s Author visit.

20.01.2022 It was a true privilege to be able to attend the Granville State School Awards Ceremony for 2020 this morning and be able to help present two prestigious awards... - the ‘Julius Award’ and the ‘Pedersen Memorial Prize’. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Year 6 students a very bright and positive future ahead! A very special morning it was!

20.01.2022 Well done These 3 students did an amazing job at the Queensland state hockey championships representing Wide Bay. The boys’ team placed 1st overall while Georgia’s team placed 5th out of 10 teams. Proud Granville moment.

18.01.2022 International beat selling children’s author and musician, Deano, aka Mr Yipadee, visited us here at Granville today as part of our book week activities. He was a massive hit with the students.

18.01.2022 Week 10 is here! Today report cards are coming home as well as book lists for 2021. Tomorrow is our End of Year Awards ceremony beginning at 9am in the ball court. Students will then have their class break up parties. Wednesday is the final day of the term. ... Tomorrow a sausage sizzle and cupcake will be provided for lunch by our P&C, if your child does not eat these please pack them their own lunch boxes.

16.01.2022 Today our year 5’s had the privilege of hearing Mr Done from Maryborough State High School regarding leadership for 2021. He talked to them about their Aus Identities personality and they worked out if they are a kangaroo, dolphin, wombat or an eagle.

10.01.2022 The Granville gallery was opened today for our year 1 students to learn about following procedures which is their assessment task for term 4. They were so excited to see their art work on display and spoke openly about the art. The gallery will be open this afternoon from 3pm for parents to come and have a quick look.

06.01.2022 Today our year 1’s got to do some real hands on learning. They are exploring procedures in their English lessons. The smells were just so delicious coming out of the classroom. They followed the recipe and produced a yummy beef stew. Great job year 1’s.

06.01.2022 Each year the children's ward at the Hervey Bay Hospital invites schools to create a Christmas display. The theme for this year was mischievous elves. Students from P/1FT, 2H, 2R, 5/6P and 6B have created this fantastic window display with many cheeky elves hidden amongst the tree, presents and window boxes.
