16.01.2022 I have to admit I am a listener, reader and watcher. I don’t often open myself up to very many people, but I am now learning. I have a business coach who is explaining to me how important it is for my clients to see me for me, and be hiring me on the basis that I am more their friend rather than a photographer. I have always thought of myself as friendly to the people I meet and am a generous personality, however I now understand that I must open up to more people to gain the... trust of those around me. This has been a hurdle for me but I am willing to give it a go as they say, as I love my job and I love my clients even more. The children who I photograph build my brand for me and represent what I believe in, and that is capturing the innocence and the unique personalities of those in front of the camera in a beautiful and awe inspiring image. 10.01.2022 Well we have two people in our household learning to write sentences, our Au Pair M and my 6 year old A. They work together in learning the words and how they work together, one learning English as a second language and the other learning to write for the very first time in his life. Once this step starts, it goes in leaps and bounds and before you know it they are starting university! It is so important to cherish every moment and especially to record it to look back on, the...se moments are priceless. Now I am being asked how to spell some words and seeing him put his Capital letters and lower case letters together, and I have to say, he almost writes neater than me nearly haha. I can’t tell you how hard English is to learn for the first time, I am so glad I know how to speak it already. M is describing nouns and verbs and past present etc etc and asking me questions unfortunately to which I have to say I don’t know I was always creative in school and I guess something has to give and for me it was academics See more

05.01.2022 On the topic of Au Pair’s. Wow! Can I say this is the best thing that I have done for my sanity! She has turned out to be wonderful in more ways than one. It is a journey for us that I wasn’t sure I wanted to open, as some stories are not so positive. But here we are with a new member of our family of whom we will be so sad to see go. Master A has been so welcoming to her he has asked me to buy him bunk beds so she can sleep in his bedroom, so cute! Precious times and stress ...relief and learning curves for us all. We are teaching her 2 languages and she is opening our eyes to French. She is here to broaden her English skills and is also learning baby language as a bonus! Little Miss S is a little confused of her name since she thinks we are talking about her when we teach her, which is just part of the journey. She has brought a lot of laughter and games and fun times for my children and her shoes will be very large to fill once she goes back home. Make the most of every day because tomorrow could be different. See more

03.01.2022 I have to say that we are all good sleepers in our household, we love to sleep in and they sleep all through the night for which I have always been grateful. There is nothing worse than a tired and cranky mum to get through the day. Although yes, our jobs are so hard at the best of times, just because they sleep through, doesn’t mean we do. We wake at every small noise they make or cry out that they do, whether they are having a dream, are cold or feeling restless. Something ...new that has been happening lately after bed time is little Miss S thinks it’s a great idea to take off her sleeping attire and check to see what she has underneath. It has certainly been hot so I don’t blame her for wanting to strip down, but as soon as the inquisitiveness goes far beyond her clothes and she takes off her nappy, it starts to become a problem! Maybe she is starting to tell me she is ready for toilet training, maybe she is just checking to see whats below or maybe she is just pure cheeky and it’s a way for her to not have to go to sleep. I think it’s the latter! See more

01.01.2022 I can now understand why my mum used to tell me how important it is to attend school and do my best. Me being creative, always lacked in the academics component, and my day started and ended with drawing or photography or painting, and if I didn’t have a paintbrush or pencil in my hand I must have been sleeping. I am so pleased with the choice of school for my Master A and will be forever grateful for him being accepted. He has already come forward in leaps and bounds and it has further developed his love of drawing as well. He starts his day with drawing and ends his days with drawing and is drawing in between as well. I have noticed that if he is cranky or stressed out, out comes the paper and pens and he is asking me what I want him to draw. I can see he will go far with his artistic ability.

01.01.2022 I never realised how many traits a little person picks up from those around them. It never ceases to amaze me how much my little one copies her big brother in everything he does. It can be the smallest of things and next thing we know she is doing it too. He seems to love it because there is nothing better than family love, and sometimes nothing worse too! Yes they have their moments but most of them are the greatest joy watching them just being themselves. If he looks up, sh...e does it. If he does a twirl, she does one too. If he sits on the bottom step to put his shoes on, she goes to get her shoes and does exactly what he does. I know it’s her learning and the young ones often learn faster than the eldest because they have been watching them since the day they were born. I am just the provider, but he is the teacher and a perfect one at that. She is lucky to have him. See more
