02.01.2022 Type and design concepts for a community organisation specialising in building connections between other services and organisations. Brief wanted typographic solution with something symbolic. My research inspired me to base my design on the human neuron. The neuron is one of the most fundamental and essential elements that facilitate not only the human experience but also our connections between one another. Neurons transmit our memories, experiences, personality; everythin...g we are as a person. They do this at incredible speed and do so tirelessly, day in and day out, which reflects the manner in which the organisation intends to build connections between organisations while conducting business. These connections the organisation intends to build should be invaluable, they should enrich communities, and should improve quality of life, and cannot afford to break down once built upon, just like the connection between neurons within the human brain. This is further reflected in the script type, in which all the letters are connected with one another. Neuron symbol is further embellished by a dashed line, an homage to stitching, which obviously is inspired by the use of the world 'tailored' in the organisation's name. #design #logo #research #nearlythere
