18.01.2022 Competition class tonight. In our competition class we work from the position looked at in the week for 90mins. In this time, students can see for themselves gaps and mechanics touched upon during the week. The main issue with positional training is that people tend to view core positions as having techniques attached to them. This leads to frustration and ineptness when students attempt to perform a technique. As most techniques performed by lower skilled BJJ practitioners ...tend to work on people worse then them! However, the way we teach BJJ at Grapple Factory, breaks the core positions down to attainable micro advantage positions and submissions and sweeps into more easily attainable structural broken down positions. By doing this, position rolls become more technical and detailed, people level up faster and students get more out of them.
