22.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) The situation regarding the emerging outbreak of coronavirus is constantly evolving and understandably many of you are uncertain about what this means. The Grasshopper Soccer team are dedicated to taking an active approach to staying informed of the situation by referring to the Department of Health and Human Services website as well as following advice from the Department of Education and Training.... We would like to encourage all our loyal members to keep informed by visiting www.health.gov.au WHAT IS GRASSHOPPER SOCCER DOING? At this point in time, Grasshopper Soccer has no reported cases of any infected members, parents/guardians/carers across any of our programs. We will continue to run our programs as normal unless the situation escalates, and if we receive advice from the Department of Education and Health. You will be notified if this is the case. Grasshopper Soccer has given instructions to all staff regarding their health, and the precautions they must take when conducting classes. While coronavirus is of concern, it is essential to remember that most people displaying symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or tiredness are likely suffering from a cold or other respiratory illnessnot coronavirus. Grasshopper Soccer will continue to monitor the situation closely and will uphold the highest hygienic standards to maintain a safe and clean environment for our participants. WHAT SHOULD YOU BE DOING? If you are displaying symptoms of the virus or have been in contact with someone possibly at high risk of infection please do not attend any of our sessions as you are advised to self-isolate. Please ensure to contact your Grasshopper Soccer area manager to notify them straight away. Encourage your children to clean their hands thoroughly and regularly by washing them with soap. TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS The Commonwealth Government has recently announced the extension to existing travel restrictions. Parents/guardians/carers should make sure that any child returning from overseas from midnight 15th March 2020, is isolated at home and should not attend our sessions until 14 days after. This advice also applies to any impacted parents/guardians/carers. BASIC PROTECTIVE MEASURES The World Health Organisation recommends the following basic protective measures to ensure you minimise your risk for the coronavirus: Wash your hands frequently Maintain social distancing from anyone that is coughing or sneezing Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing Stay at home and quarantine yourself if you think you have come in contact with someone who could be high risk and/or you feel unwell. 19.01.2022 Hi Little Grasshoppers, We are going to practice our dribbling again today but we are going to do it a little differently. Get your big grasshopper to time you and see how fast you can go through the gates. Set the course as hard as you want. Let us know your fastest time?

18.01.2022 Hi Little Grasshoppers, We are going to practice being a striker today. I’m going to show you one way to beat a defender and score a goal. This should be lots of fun and once you master this skill you can practice against your big grasshopper.

05.01.2022 Hi Big Grasshoppers, Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy and active during these very interesting times. At present we have not received any updates regarding the governments intentions to lift any of the COVID-19 restrictions for outside sports and activities. ... Our intention was to commence Term 2 starting from May 6 but we have to follow the NSW Department of Health's guidelines so we will have to postpone our term and soccer programs until it is safe to reopen. Once we get the green light and have more information we will let you know about the start date of the new Term. If you are interested in our program please inbox or email us on [email protected] and we can hold a spot for you at your preferred location and keep you updated on the progress of the commencement of the new Term. 03.01.2022 Hi Little Grasshoppers, Just because this grasshopper soccer term is on hold doesn’t mean we can’t practice our soccer skills at home. Coach Louie and I are going to post some soccer skill videos through out the term for you and your family to follow. Hopefully you enjoy the videos and have some fun along the way. 02.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart Grasshopper Soccer Illawarra must inform all Little Grasshoppers and parents that Term 1 classes will be closing early. Due to COVID-19 and the current situation Grasshopper Soccer sessions have ceased for Term 1. Grasshopper Soccer Illawarra is a small local business and relies on the support of parents/the community to keep our doors open. If you are thinking of attending Grasshopper Soccer Illawarra at any point in the future, please show your sup...port and enroll into the Term 2 program. At present Grasshopper Soccer Illawarra is planning on commencing Term 2 programs from May 9th. If this situation changes all parents will be notified, and the term will be postponed until safe to reopen. If Term 2 is delayed Grasshopper Soccer will allow any customer who re-enrolls into the Term 2 program to use this credit when they feel comfortable to return to our sessions. For new enrollments we will let you know when Term 2 enrollments are opened but please enquire now if you would like to enroll for Term 2. Grasshopper Soccer thanks you for your support.
