At the event, we will be serving some of Myanmar’s most delicious dishes to fire up your taste buds and putting on a show with performances from Myanmar’s ethnic communities. We also offer you a look closer at what has led the country into its current crisis, with a display of images depicting the brave struggle and hars...h reality playing out on Myanmar’s urban streets and in the country’s rural areas. What an absolute pleasure to gather at CERES Environment Park for our 5th year raising funds to support our friends in Aileu, Timor-Leste in collaboration with Friends of Aileu On behalf of everyone at Grassroots Gatherings we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to make this year's fundraiser such a memorable one! We are thrilled to announce that we (more than) doubled last years efforts and raised a total of - $10,000!! Which will go toward... supporting sustainability initiatives in Aileu We are humbled to have been Welcomed onto Wurundjeri Country by Uncle Bill Nicholson and to have had the opportunity to have some of his wisdom shared with us. We extend our gratitude to Tonny Castro and Kirsty Sword Gusmão AO for sharing their stories and knowledge with our community.
