25.01.2022 We’re so excited to be able to open up yet more mats spaces in each class from today. That means more opportunity to practice with us and we look forward to welcoming you. 23.01.2022 One hand up if you're excited it's Friday!

23.01.2022 WHAT IF I DONT GIVE UP? Of late, when Ive turned my attention inward, there is no mistaking it. Fear-based stories galore, jam packed with questions: Whats gonna happen? How are we going to do this and that? What if it isnt good enough?, and the list goes on. ... But then I got to thinking, what would it look like to not give up and just push forward to the best of our ability?

22.01.2022 OUR SPACE II When I think about what nourishes me, whats sustained me through much change is the creation of this space that was one of the first studios in Melbourne. There have been others since then, but this is HQ. We miss the hustle and bustle of sweaty bodies in the changeover between classes coming out with that blissed look on their faces. Not long now. The countdown is on!



22.01.2022 As this pic is of Brenton we asked him to dig up a quote hed like to elaborate on that resonates with him right now. "If youre going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill. I like it because it reminds us to keep moving. Moving is essential for us physically, and the idea that we must keep moving through the tough times is so well illustrated in this. Who wants to stop in hell? But in our yoga practise that can so often happen. When we find ourselves strugglin...g with a pose, we can stop it right there, pull the plug and tell ourselves its too hard or we cant do it. So it remains a struggle. Part of the process is to acknowledge "oh this is tough" but then keep breathing, keep going, keep trying. Should we choose to keep on through the tough bits, we pass through and then stop to enjoy the places of ease, of a greater understanding of our body/mind/capabilities/selves. Places where theres room to relax, expand and release. Keep moving towards those. The journey is not always rainbows and cupcakes. Sometimes theres places of difficulty and challenge. All the more reason to keep going Just keep going.

21.01.2022 D E E P L I S T E N I N G II Sometimes you have to let life turn you upside down, so you can learn how to live, right side up. Right now, our world is in chaos and there seems as if there is very little calm. Ive been asking that if things happen for a reason, why is this happening? Are we all to gain a new perspective, what is it that were not seeing, what is it that were not hearing? We must dedicate ourselves to deep listening for it is this that Thich Nhat Hanh... says is our greatest gift, to listen and to listen deeply. Firstly, we thank everyone who returned to the studio for in person classes over the past few weeks. Seeing everyone and connecting with friends old and new has been rewarding to the entire team, so thank you.... We are surely in extraordinary times right now. The state government decision to lock down metro Victoria for another 6 weeks from Wednesday 8th July 11.59pm is devastating for our state, our states economy, local business of any size and the impact on our way of life unprecedented. 17.01.2022 Abso Friday Loutely! We must admit, the days can feel as if they are rolling into one but we never forget FRI-Yay now do we?! How good is it to look back on the week with pride? On reflection over the weeks in ISO I was saying, OMG Ive wasted so much time, but now Im looking at it with a Ive learned to stop rushing the things that need to grow, which has also allowed for space. ... Over the years the studios have demanded quite a lot as any small business owner can attest, so its been nice to reflect on what we have created, how much weve inspired others and what work there is also yet to accomplish. The social and economic impacts aside, Im grateful for the pause and reset that has come from this time.

16.01.2022 What are the tools for practice? We think it's a mat, towel, block, strap and even a bolster but these are aids to enhance the overall practice. Turing up, showing up where you are and exploring movement and breath are what's essential. We look forward to seeing you soon so we can guide you through one of our classes.

15.01.2022 C H A N G E They say change is as good as a holiday and as Australians weve had an enormous amount of change this year that has de stabilised our foundations. We are strong as a nation and as a collective people. Dedication to practice can create deep roots to your foundations in an effort to best weather the winds of change. Practice means different things to different people and we look forward to being able to bring you yoga, meditation & pranayama practices in person from June 22 as a community, were we can re connect and re establish unity.

15.01.2022 We made it. We’re beyond excited that we will soon be able to return to the studio as of Monday 9th November. It’s been a long and uncomfortable road that we have all had to travel in our own ways this last lockdown.... We remain committed to offering practices for healing and growth and we can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you back. Information on class timetables and offerings to come in the next week.

13.01.2022 Ive begun to wonder if Im overusing the saying Im doing my best, but its true, were all doing our best in challenging times and whatever that looks like is ok. There are winds of change also butting up against the ideas we have about doing our best that go beyond what we think and dream for ourselves, there are many others that need what strength we cultivated through practice that we can use to advocate for others. Our obligation is to learn more, listen more and once we know better, do better.
