20.01.2022 NEW EVENT!!! We are excited to announce that this year we have added a new bitumen-only event, 'The All Bitchi Alternative', for those riders who don't like to get a little dust on their treasured machines. For this year, the route is a 90km ride to the small town of Miling and back. The ride is for individual riders only, as there will be no checkpoints, only water stops (you may ride together as a team if you like). 18.01.2022 Well what another amazing Gravel Grinder event yesterday. The weather conditions were the most challenging that we have ever experienced in the 7 years that this event has been running, strong winds and heat. Well done to every rider, 95 of you, who took part and made it back to Watheroo. The wind did eventually drop out and the evening was spectacular. The sumptuous meal was enjoyed by all and we danced the night away to the Tenindewa Tossers. Our committee would like to th...ank everyone who took part yesterday in the Gravel Grinder Challenge. The riders of course were amazing but our willing volunteers who man the check points, put out the signs, set up the bar, set up the pavilion, sweep the rides, MC, prepare our meal, we couldn’t run this event with out you. Thanks also to all of the support crews in vehicles and our community who come back to Watheroo to enjoy the festivities. We would also like to thank all of our generous sponsors Meers IGA, Plum Grove, Summit, Primaries, Elders Insurance, CBH Group, Yarra Sand, WFI, Moora Embroidery and Shire of Moora. Unfortunately this year we are unable to bring you the event but we are taking the opportunity to shift up a gear and bring you a fresh and exciting event for 2021. We look forward to seeing you back out in the bush next year and thank you for your continued support.
