17.01.2022 Here's another before and after of Clementine, this time of the original bathroom The original bathroom featured pastel yellow 100x100 tiles which stopped just below the window. We used a combination of 300x300 and 50x50 tiles to recreate this geometric look and bring it into the 21st century. We stopped the tiles at the top of the window to create clean lines and to pay respect to the original design. The original vanity was quite funky with it's detailed handles and colou...red feature drawers. We replicated this with a modern twist by injecting soft blue to the joinery doors, which sets off the feature brass handles. Typical of the era, the quaint kitchen and 50's style diner was the center of the home with all other rooms to the house surrounding it. As you can see the kitchen was tiny and definitely not suited to the open plan living most of us are accustomed to now days. 14.01.2022 Following on from our last post, another project which is currently for sale is ARIN HOUSE. 5 4 3 3 1 Arin House is a new build in the heart of Yeronga designed by grayHAUS for the modern family.... The home is split across three levels, starting at the basement level there is enclosed parking for 3 vehicles and two large storage areas which can be turned into workshop spaces for those who like to tinker, or use it to store your toys such as jet ski and motorbikes. 10.01.2022 We've had a few enquiries about the projects we have coming up for sale, so here is a quick overview of the first one: 4 3 2 2 1 CLEMENTINE is an original Art Deco home from the early 1940’s which we are restoring back to her original beauty. We have added an extension to the back of the home as well as a new upper level which are a fusion of Art Deco and modern design, focusing on connected spaces for family living and entertaining.... The original part of the home has three bedrooms, a media room, and a bathroom where original features such as solid timber flooring and ornate cornice and ceiling details will be restored. The new ground level features white polished concrete floors, a second living room with a 6 meter void and feature pendant, a second bathroom, laundry with lots of storage and kitchen/butler’s pantry. The Art Deco inspired kitchen features a curved island bench with a brass stone inlay, brass feature handles . The timber deck positioned off the kitchen spans the width of the home and includes a built-in BBQ. The out of ground pool is accessed off the deck and tucked into the corner of the backyard which leaves plenty of yard space for the kids. The new second level is dedicated to the master bedroom including WIR and ensuite. The ensuite features custom mirrors, reeded glass and a statement bath true to the Art Deco style.
