24.01.2022 I feel like I need to reintroduce myself as so many of you have followed my page are new to my business. Firstly I’m a terrible cook but I can style a platter - I kinda feel like I’m Cher in the movie Mermaids- she’d make food look pretty but never cooked - that’s me! I married my high school boyfriend and next year marks 30 years together- that figure blows my mind.... I have two kids Liam 21 and Georgia 19 - we did good, they are great humans! I talk a lot - I’m always up for a chat! I’m a nurse but no longer practicing , I’ve worked in many areas and for the last 5 years I’ve practice managed for a General Surgeon it’s just him and I - so life is busy balancing both business - but we make it work ! I love to travel if I had to choose my favourite destination it be a toss up between New York and anywhere in Italy ! My dad is Italian and my mum is Australian so I’m 1/2 1/2 but love my Italian heritage and adore my family - I can’t speak Italian but can understand a little bit - big regret not embracing it when we were younger! Know that when you order anything from my business it’s made with love it’s fresh and created in a registered kitchen - which is really important- because you know that going though all those councils checks and processes - I’m serious about my business. His name is HARRY, although I never met him, as he died 29 days before I was born, I can’t imagine how my mum so heavily pregnant felt to bury her dad From all accounts he was a beautiful kind hearted man. ... He was a plumber just like my son. He died on the same day my husband was born 1st April 1973 From stories my mum @glenysscrofani and Aunty @maursyannie tell he was a man who was kind, a beautiful husband and father and I can only imagine he would have been beautiful doting Grandfather to all us 6 kids He went to war so we, me, you, and our children can live a better life. 17.01.2022 So, you’re all here because my old account was deleted by the powers to be at and support over the last few days has truly been phenomenal. I’m constantly checking my emails and trying to log into old account a billion times a day with no change but then I thought- 1400+ people followed my page within a few days, that a MASSIVE start right there , you followed my page, this page, you followed me for a reason. I’ve been thinking what happens if my old page gets reinstated?,... can I merge the two or do I even want to. Are those remaining 1500 followers people that are truly interested in my product and content? The content on the last page was something I just can’t rehash on this new page, [ I’ve tried it feels wrong ] it was Covid time, it was a time that was raw and in the moment, it was the last chapter. You guys have liked this new page because you wanted to support my business, because those with business accounts [big or small] thought what if that happened to me, what if I lost all my followers - it’s a flow on affect that can really mess up a business, especially when majority of your work comes from this platform. I can continue to create new content and tell new stories. I’ll work my butt to engage and rebuild my page, I’ll do all the social media magic that Ive learnt in my course and put it to practice and I’ll build to what it was - I’m already 1/2 way there! So today I’m not going to check my email or try and log in, I’m moving forward and I’m going to work on building this community on this here page... This was my very first Grazing table I did for Liam’s birthday in 2018 for his 20th Birthday [ people must have left hungry] but I thought it was AMAZING - but this was where I ignited the thought of starting my Grazing Table business which I did that year in April. Swipe this was the table I did for his 21st birthday exactly year later and it is one of the last ones I did before we went into lockdown!... When I look back at early photos I initially cringe, but then I see how far I’ve come and how I’ve grown and also how I had to adjust my business to our changing world. Everything is a learning process and you just refine and tweak but most importantly you create your own style for your brand. 12.01.2022 I got the email last night that said Please go though this with a VERY fine tooth comb! My new website is almost ready to go LIVE! It looks amazing, as I was flicking though it last night it made me so proud, all my products looking just how I want them to be viewed. ... This is my second website, my current one during Covid couldn’t cope with the demand, it was glitchy, it was hard for the customer to order, it was troublesome. We have swapped to a whole new platform which has a better e-commerce store. We’ve also had a rebrand aswell, I decided to really invest in my business and do it right, had copywriter write the website, my boxes now all have beautiful names - we’ve tied names to link in with my Italian heritage, the words flows really beautifully and it’s so user friendly- I can’t wait for you all to see it in a few days time - I feel like it really represents me and my style. 06.01.2022 I have been thinking a lot about Grazing tables and how they will look moving into a covid19 normal A Grazing table is the WOW to any event, this time last year my calendar would have been booked with Christmas functions! So how will people experience grazing tables in the new COVID normal?... We know share food isn’t currently a option for large amounts of people, I’m assuming people won’t want to cut cheese with same knife or use their hands to pick up crackers or meat, even if we place tongs and utensils for individual use, it’s still risky if everyone will use them - especially if we are feeling that Christmas cheer A grazing table is a focal point, it’s aplace where people will gather and chat, so social distancing is another factor to consider. It’s not all doom and gloom, we need something to look forward to and Christmas functions are FUN, and we need to celebrate and let our hair down ! So, I’m thinking that it will be more individual serves, much like my lunchbox grazes - so all the food that’s on a grazing table but packaged individually into a box, rather than food styled on a table. You can still make individual boxes styled to look WOW! Think a rustic table beautiful flowers, fairy lights, stacked boxes but keeping inline with Covid Restrictions. 04.01.2022 It’s so much more than the numbers when you lose your account. This morning I received a frantic call from my dear friend Bec @creativeseed_co who runs @tsidclothing_ socials, it was very early in the morning so I immediately thought something was wrong and all I heard was - It’s gone, Sams account has gone and she was sobbing - my heart sunk. 56.9k followers and someone has hacked the account, taken it over and god knows what they are going to do with it.... When I lost my account Sam was one of the first ones to get on and talk about image if you lost you account please support and like and you all did.. never did she ever imagine in her wildest dreams it would happen to her just a few days later- it’s a horrible feeling - it makes you feel sick to your stomach. It’s a timely reminder that no matter how secure you think your socials are these guys are smarter. It’s not the just the numbers that make an account , it’s the community you build, it’s the hard work that you put in to build the page and connections you make and then there’s the time you spent to build your business the list goes on. 01.01.2022 Picnics in our backyard! This is mine, [ well it’s the Eynesbury Homestead] this place is a beautiful little gem. I’m a born and raised Hoppers Crossing girl but about 4 years ago we moved to Eynesbury, our kids attended school at Bacchus Marsh Grammar and we were driving this way every day [ because someone would always happen to miss the bus ] the kids had good friends in Eynesbury and every time we did a pick up or drop off we would comment on how beautiful it was here. W...e decided very quickly that we wanted to make this our new home. It’s taken a few years for me not to feel like a visitor but I truly feel like I’ve found my happy place, I’ve made beautiful friends and absolutely love my house and where I live. Lots of positive changes are happening here at the moment, a new developer has come on board and invested a bucket load of money and the changes are stunning! The grounds are beautiful for a picnic and there are things happening at the homestead all weekend.
