25.01.2022 As of Wednesday 5th of August 2020 at 11:59pm we will be following the Governments recommendations. Automotive, machinery and equipment repair and maintenance are permitted to operate where providing support to a permitted service or industry or where required to maintain the health and safety of Victorians at home or at work (this includes mechanical, electrical, and collision repair work). We will remain open (hours limited) although we will not be accepting walk ins. B...ookings are crucial at this time to ensure a smooth process. Bookings can be made via our workshop (03) 9555 7352 or our new mobile 0452 530 539. Our priority is the health and safety of our team, suppliers, customers and the community as a whole thus helping to reduce the spread of coronavirus. We appreciate your cooperation during these challenging times. We may experience some difficulty sourcing and obtaining parts due to restricted services with our suppliers but we appreciate your support in regards to this. We anticipate routine work may take 1-4 hours longer then usual. No customers will be allowed on premises this includes the workshop and showroom. We will be contactless and this will be discussed with you when booking your vehicle. We will be staggering bookings to reduce the risk of multiple customers arriving at the same time. 20.01.2022 How tyres wear Regular attention to our tyres air pressures and regular servicing through tyre rotations and a wheel alignment will assist in even and longer w...ear, extending the life of your tyres. But how can we identify if our tyres are not wearing evenly? Here are some tips.. Under inflation (not enough air pressure in the tyre) can cause the shoulders of the tread to wear quicker than the centre Over inflation (too much air pressure) will cause the centre of the tread area to wear prematurely Incorrect wheel alignment can cause camber wear which can cause irregular wear such as feathered, heel and toe or premature wear on the edges of the tread area To alleviate the chances of this happening remember to check your air pressures regularly when visiting the fuel station and be sure to call into your tyre store every six months or so for a tyre rotation and wheel alignment

07.01.2022 This Toyota Hilux presented to our workshop with symptoms of struggling to start & a rough idle at first start up! We did our due diligence & carried out diagnostic tests. Our test results led us to diagnose the cause to be a Blown Head Gasket we were right on the money! A clear break is obvious once we removed the cylinder head. This head gasket let go between Cylinders 1 & 2! It is important to not only have your engine Oil & Filter changed at regular intervals but your ...engines other crucial systems are checked & tested to ensure they are up for the job. Some preventative maintenance like a cooling system flush for around $180 is way better than an expensive repair bill of 10 times the cost of the coolant flush! Not to mention the inconvenience it has caused smack bam right around the corner from Christmas! None the less our expert team of Grease Monkeys will have this Hilux back on the job site in no time!
