With the help of Arne Karlsen, Mogensen built an addition to an old farmhouse restored at the same time at the end of the 1960s. 07.01.2022 Back in 1948 furniture designer Poul Cadovius created the world's first wall-mounted shelving system, The Royal System. Recognised with a Gold Medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and silver at Milan Triennale, the system set a benchmark for wall storage design. Its graceful styling and the fact it can be configured in many different combinations made it a success. 01.01.2022 Since its opening in 1958, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art has exhibited the worlds leading artistsfrom Alberto Giacometti and Yves Klein to Pablo Picasso and Marina Abramovi. But the museum is a destination that transcends any one exhibition. Located in the coastal town of Humlebk, a scenic 40-minute train ride from Copenhagen Central Station, Louisiana is a place of perfectly-apportioned tranquillity. Its discreet, low pavilions are linked by glass corridors, desi...gned so as not to distract from the landscape of the sculpture parkwhere works by artists including Alexander Calder and Henry Moore sit in the outdoor surroundings they were intended for.
