21.01.2022 LIONS! Calling all Members!!... Sign up now to be a Great Western Football & Netball Club COVID Member. COVID membership is a non-guaranteed membership that potentially gets you nothing in return!! So why purchase one? Your purchase will show your unwavering support to the club in these tough times. In the event the season commences and crowds are permitted, this will gain entry to games. But if the season doesnt commence, your financial commitment to the club will provide a valuable cash injection following the cancellation of the Rodeo. Our target is 100 members, cost will be $50 There is no expectation, we understand many have been out of work, but if you can, wow, what a supporter you will be. The membership can be purchased in the club shop or sign up with any committee member. Once 100 members have been reached we will have a draw for a lucky winner to win a club merchandise pack Tell your friends - GO LIONS!

06.01.2022 The GWFNC as a member of the MDFA is bound by the directives and advise of the league and AFL. At this point in time, the AFL and League has stated that no games of football will be played in April. So as a club we will not play the first 2 rounds and this could possibly impact into May. This will be closely monitored with the AFL and the League and we will advise any changes that come to hand. We as a club take the safety and welfare of its players, officials, volunteers and... members very seriously and will do everything possible to to ensure this. So from our end we will still continue to train but implement the following rules: - If anyone has any symptoms of COVID-19 they are not to attend training and to follow the government regulations. - The players are to provide their own drink bottles at training as the club will no longer provide share drink bottles. - General hygiene is to be adhered too and everyone is to wash their hands thoroughly before training with hot water and soap. - We would also encourage everyone to shower at home and not to use the club showers after training. If anyone has any concerns please talk to members of the committee, coaches or the training staff. This is not a great for the club but we acknowledge that the safety of our members is paramount. Club President Tracey McCartney

05.01.2022 The Great Western Football & Netball Club is set to launch its Future Fund appeal, in an effort to ensure the clubs long term financial viability. Stay tuned over the coming days and weeks for some announcements and targets we hope will strengthen our long term position on and off the field. We wi...ll update you regularly on the status of the targets . Stay safe and Go Lions Tracey McCartney GWFNC President See more
