23.01.2022 Here's a easy woolly project to be a part of . .

23.01.2022 STILLNESS THROUGH ART with Sofie Dieu Saturday the 17th of October 6-7.30pm Of all the workshops that have taken place since June, this is the most important one. It has been designed with the help of Dr. Rob Gordon who is specialised in post-bushfire recovery. It will be delivered by London based artist and counsellor Eleonore Pironneau and artist Sofie Dieu. Together, we will look at anniversaries and rituals to help overcome grief and eco-anxiety.... For this, you will need to prepare your journal and pen. You will also need to gather small objects that are meaningful and will give sense to your recovery journey. Eleonore will guide you through an object composition / meditative exercise and prompts will be shared to give you ideas how to prepare for the first anniversary of last summer's bushfires. This first anniversary is according to Dr Rob Gordon the most important one to support recovery. If you have suffered due to fires and drought, it is important for you to prepare and be supported. Please register to the Creative Ritual workshop now. https://www.learn-paint-grow.com This art and meditative workshop is offered for FREE thanks to the precious and generous support of East Gippsland Shire Council and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal Thanks for your help! Best, Sofie

21.01.2022 Remember the Living River Project and the gorgeous waterbugs we made? It all started with catching and identifying waterbugs in the river. Come along and try it, such an eye-opener to the fascinating life all around us.

20.01.2022 This is aa novel idea! Reposted from Regional Arts Victoria. If you’ve been looking for somewhere to release some lockdown tension, you might want to check out 1300 ROAR.... An initiative of Creative Ballarat, 1300 ROAR is 3 minutes of permission to sing, shout, rage, whisper, laugh or cry down the phone line. Sound files from your call are then compressed along with others and turned into a piece of music with the help of a local composer. Whilst some restrictions are beginning to lift (again) in Victoria, there are still some obstacles to clear. We know this, just as we know we won’t always be able to clear them all first time, every time. When we’re working through a slow and often frustrating process, it’s important to allow ourselves moments of relief. This too we know, though occasionally it takes a creative project to remind us. A creative project, as well as three minutes of permission. 1300 728 760 More details from https://www.creativeballarat.com.au/1300-roar

This is the first of three workshops offered by their gallery. Such a generous reach out to us ,originally after the fires but put on hold due to COVID-19. Thanks so much Maureen and Debbie. 13.01.2022 Documentary Photography Gippsland Call Out for Participants https://aldonakmiec.com/documentary-photographic-project-pa This is a call out to anyone res...iding in #Gippsland and interested in taking part in the documentary photography project I have been commissioned for by the State Library Victoria. The key aim is to create a social archive of photographs and stories documenting the effects of the recent Victorian bushfire season and the COVID-19 global pandemic. The project allows an opportunity to get a true, authentic, contemporary and respectful documentation of the impact in real time. The images captured, with accompanying stories will be added to SLV’s Picture collection for current and future generations. Consent forms need to be signed by all participants. Who am I looking for? I’m looking to photograph anyone: - farmers - emergency services workers - shop/small business owners - artists/musicians etc - people affected by the current situation located anywhere in Gippsland. If you are interested in taking part in this project, I would love to hear from you via my website contact form (link in bio) or by calling/SMS your details to me on 0433 162 791. I really appreciate your time and look forward to meeting you soon x *feel free to share with relevant people/organisations Photo: my nephew Filip on our dairyfarm in Poland
