22.01.2022 KAKADU HUMPBACK ODDLY RETURNS The humpback whale we reported on back in September has baffled scientists after returning to the same Kakadu waterway. Northern Territory Government scientist Carol Palmer has confirmed its sighting near the mouth of East Alligator River. Scientists will continue to track the whale's movements and plan to analyse its poo to assess its health. There are concerns for the whale's wellbeing as it should be eating in the icy waters of Antarctica at this time of year. Parks Australia
