25.01.2022 Before you start, or after you finish, the Great Barrier Reef Drive, relax and cool down in the lagoon on the Cairns Esplanade.

22.01.2022 Now is the time for Queenslanders to come up and see the Great Barrier Reef Drive in their own backyard
22.01.2022 One of the many things to do at the end of the Great Barrier Reef Drive is the hike up to the top of Mount Sorrow that gives you this awesome view over Cape Tribulation. It's a five hour return walk which is quite steep in places so you need to be reasonably fit.
22.01.2022 Once a year the Great Barrier Reef comes alive for the coral spawning, and this weekend it started right on cue. Scientists say this year's event was spectacula...r and called it the best they've seen in more than a decade. Credit: Visit Queensland, Australia www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS
20.01.2022 Who wouldn't want to go for a cruise along this road?
20.01.2022 Amongst all the doom and gloom about the reef in international media who just copy eachother's articles, it is refreshing to hear from someone who is actually there, on the reef, every day. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2677255065725568
20.01.2022 Thanks to Covid-19 there is not much traffic on the Great Barrier Reef Drive, and Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas is looking rather deserted. But what a glorious day it is to enjoy for the few people that are here. Others who are staying at home now not allowed to go anywhere might want to put this spot on their bucket list for when travel restrictions are lifted and planes are back in the air.
18.01.2022 Travel restrictions lifted and it's time to hit the road! And what better road to hit than the Great Barrier Reef Drive!
18.01.2022 Far North Queensland is in its driest time of year now, but the wet season is not far away, and now is the time of year to make your plans to go and stay in the Daintree. The swimming holes in the rain forest creeks will be pumping and for the many people who live in parts of Australia in drought it is an awesome experience to spend time in a rain forest where the rain just keeps on pounding. Our personal favourites are the swimming holes at the Cape Tribulation Shop and Emmagen Creek, stay overnight at Rainforest Hideaway, dinner at Whet, and a tour such as the croc tour on Cooper Creek and a fruit tasting tour at the Cape Trib farm which soon will have rambutans, mangosteens, durians etc. galore. And don't forget that FNQ locals can get a free low season ferry pass from the Douglas Shire Council.
18.01.2022 Travel restrictions are being lifted and to encourage people to visit the amazing Daintree rain forest the Daintree river ferry is now free until the end of June!
15.01.2022 What an awesome shot of Cape Tribulation, the grand finale at the end of the Great Barrier Reef Drive
14.01.2022 Look at what you might find at the end of the Great Barrier Reef Drive!
14.01.2022 The fires keep raging in the south of Australia, but north Queensland has started its wet season. While there might be less opportunity to enjoy the glorious beaches of the Great Barrier Reef Drive, the Daintree rainforest is a lush wonderland, and the waterfalls are beautiful. Just look at how awesome the Barron Falls at Kuranda are right now! https://youtu.be/wQlKiDp9j5g
13.01.2022 What a great shot of the Great Barrier Reef Drive on this spectacular day
12.01.2022 Fancy a game of golf in Port Douglas?
12.01.2022 This great aerial shot shows how the Great Barrier Reef Drive hugs the coast line. This has got to be the most scenic bit all along the 3000 km drive from Melbourne to Cairns.... Photo courtesy of Tourism and Events Queensland.

08.01.2022 Halfway up the Great Barrier Reef Drive you will find Port Douglas, and with the current weather Four Mile Beach is looking glorious!
07.01.2022 Did you know that Cape Tribulation is the only place in the world where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet? It is here that the @wettropicsqld Daintree Na...tional Parkand the @gbrmarinepark connect with one another. We think it’s the most beautiful place on earth (but we’re definitely a tad biased ) What do you think? Is Cape Tribulation the most stunning place you have traveled to? . . . @the.sun.days
06.01.2022 With travel restrictions lifted and a free Daintree ferry NOW is the time to go and cruise the Great Barrier Reef Drive and see the Daintree!

04.01.2022 Queensland is opening up again, and there has never been a better time to do the Great Barrier Reef Drive! Many businesses such as Villa Marine have great specials on, the Daintree ferry is free until the end of June, snorkel and dive tours are sailing again, the pristine tropical beaches are deserted, and most of the Bloomfield Track is open too.
03.01.2022 No international flights for some time to come but Queenslanders are lucky to have the Great Barrier Reef in their backyard, who needs Bali or Phuket when you can fly here in a few hours?
03.01.2022 Well, here is something you don't see every day.... On Newyearsday the locals in Cape Tribulation got together for a race on the beach dressed in inflatable dinosaur costumes. The Great Barrier Reef Drive has so many secrets and things to explore but this is probably one of the quirkiest.
01.01.2022 This tourist had a memorable experience...
