15.01.2022 Drum roll please. After the longest labour in history, the birth of the Great Dames website is upon us! And phew, it’s hard work when you’re my age I have to tell you. And being #InternationalWomensDay, what better day to introduce to the world a place for women to go to celebrate, receive support, and ‘embrace the change’ (one hot flush at a time)! ... Who is this site for, I hear you asking? You are a Great Dame if you’re a woman over the age of 45 and are finding some challenges with the changes your body is going through, and more importantly, you want to do something about it. Now, before you switch off and think, ‘this isn’t for me’. If you are over the age of 38, I would call you a ‘lady in waiting’. Things are starting to change and shift a little before you become a ‘real woman’ (wink). Believe me when I tell you, I wish I’d been better prepared. So, it’s good to know what may be heading your way and it won’t surprise you when you get that internal, ‘is this all there is?’ or ‘what’s next?’ or ‘why has my PMS got so bad?’ Men?
