11.01.2022 Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, pet registrations renewals which were due on April 9 were deffered to allow extra time for those finding themselves in financial hardship and to account for the closure of customer service centres. We recently sent out sms messages to pet owners extending the due date again until the end of June. Customer service centres and Dandenong and Parkmore shopping centre have now reopened. You can renew your pet's registrations by either calling 8571 1000 or visiting a customer service area.

10.01.2022 This handsome young fellow wandered away from his family's home yesterday and started exploring before becoming lost. A member of the public and found him kept him safe and called Council. Rangers collected him and found his microchip and registration were up to date and were able to return him. On arrival for the return, it was observed all family members were out looking for the young explorer. It is a great part of our Rangers job in reuniting families with their loved on...es. This has let to a significant increase in the number of complaints received about people not cleaning up after their dogs. Council Rangers now conduct random patrols to ensure dog walkers are carrying a means of collecting and disposing of their dog waste. 02.01.2022 Eastern Treatment Plant is about to implement a Fox Baiting Program on the land bounded by Thompson Road and Patterson River, Carrum. Control of foxes in the area is required to protect ground nesting birds and other wildlife. The fox control program will run between Tuesday 6th October and Tuesday 10th November 2020. The program will run over a four week period between these dates, depending on suitable weather conditions. Neighbours are advised to not allow pet dogs to have access to the fox control area. Dogs should be restrained during the period of the fox control program.
