22.01.2022 Good morning Escapees, It’s starting to get cold again, it’s not to bad Marty is still in shorts. We have started our winter specials board. The soup this week is pumpkin, We have 2 pies on this week curried chicken & a curried veggie. Both are made in house very yummy.... And the roast roll is lamb. These are available all day 10am-4pm. 19.01.2022 So we now know who this little man is and where he is from. My sister read it to us tonight. What I have learnt from this and I hope you and your children do as well, is that no one gets to do you wrong without repercussions. And the little mole is the man!
15.01.2022 Hi Escapees, As you know this coming week is show week. Our trading hours for show day will be, 10am-4pm and weekend rates will apply. $8.50 for under 3’s and $11.50 for 4 and above.... We also won’t be doing dinner service that weekend the 25th and 26th. Back on the 2nd & 3rd. Have a good long weekend if you get the time off. 12.01.2022 Hello escapees, It is coming up to that time of year again. We will be closed over Christmas. Closed the 24th, 25th, 26th, back open on Friday the 27th of December. And closed 1st of January back open on Thursday the 2nd of January.... We will also be doing our last dinner service for the year 13th and 14th of December. Back open for dinner on the 17th and 18th of January. If you are thinking of dinner before Christmas. Please call to book we don’t want to disappoint anyone over the festive season. 07.01.2022 Friends, I am reaching out to you I was recently asked by an organisation CatholicCare Tasmania to be a part of National Homelessness week. At first I could...n’t see how I would be able to be involved as my days are so full of current projects. But.. After a few of meetings with the key organisers I have decided to drop everything for the entirety of next week (Monday 5th-Friday 9th) and help. Why? Firstly, I think I can really help by creating awareness. I haven’t built all of this social media nonsense for nothing, I’ve built it to make a difference. Secondly, I’ve been there. As a 14 year old drug & alcohol dependant child living on friends floors, couches & in garages. I feel sick thinking about the way I started my teenage years. How? I’ve been talking to the key organisers & we have agreed that what I can do is bring awareness, by talking to the organisations that are out there on the front line and people that directly affected by homelessness. Remember this, Just because you can not see something, that does not mean it isn’t there. Homelessness is very real and effects so many more people than we realise right here in Hobart and all over Tasmania. Although ever situation and circumstances are different. It affects men and woman equally, children are directly affected and you may not realise it but animals are to. Pets have got to eat also, it’s something we simply do not realise. So here I am.. laying everything down for something bigger than myself, bigger than social media. But I am going to use myself and social media to raise awareness of this social issue. If you are keen to help but aren’t sure how to? Let me know in the comments below, let’s start a conversation and I’ll let you all know where you can help. It may be as simply as attending an event. Tag as many people/business’s as you can in this and all of my posts to come, consider sharing my message and call out to help raise awareness for National Homeless week. We can all make a difference. Even if we are busy working and living our best lives because a lot of people are not. It’s 1am Thursday morning and I’m thankful in bed. Think of those who are not.
