It was also the third lowest winning score in a prelim and 9th lowest winning score in any final. The 88pts match aggregate was the 4th lowest between these clubs. The record of 65pts is also from 1961. Chapman Valley’s 22pts is the lowest score recorded in 242 GNFL finals so far played. The previous lowest was Brigades’ 3.10 (28) v Towns (2001) while the previous lowest in a preliminary final was Northampton’s 4.12 (36) v Railways (1985). Chapman Valley has lost 19 successive away games to Railways. Remarkably, this was the 1st time Railways and CV had met in a prelim final. 14.01.2022 Season 2020 is over. What a season it was!! It all culminated in the last 2 days of absolutely awesome footy. A few acknowledgements to some who went above and beyond over the weekend. Grant Russell and Christine Teakle who turned up very early to help at the gate. You were both amazing. Hayley Morris and Pud Worthington who run our gate all day long. Club reps who helped Marshall throughout the day.... Elise, Leanne, Harro, Billy, Dale, Kandi and Grant. ... Rovers FC crew working all day in the canteen. Alana Alana Maree Francis and her Railways crew. City in Colour - Popeye and crew for the ground painting. James Gardiner - the GNFLs superstar MC. Dartfish - phenomenal videoing. Barry Mitchell, Kate Box, Justine Rowe - always the highest quality images. Mat Cook and Jemma Cook, Grace - good work Without all of your help we could not have done it. If I have missed anyone- my apologies. Last but not least - the GNFL board cops a lot of criticism but I’m proud to be part of it and of what we have achieved this year. 02.01.2022 To clear up any confusion.... The GNFL has received permission to have over 500 attendees tomorrow for the Grand Final. This is why measures such as COVID marshalls, cleaning attendants and taking contact details of all entering the Recreation Ground is required.

02.01.2022 **GRAND FINAL NEW COVID RULINGS* An urgent message for those planning on attending the GNFL Grand Final on Sunday: - All people entering the ground will be required to provide name and contact details on entry, so please be aware this means that there may be extended wait times to get in. ... - If you are feeling unwell, you will not be permitted to enter the ground - If you have recently travelled interstate or overseas in the past 14 days you will not be permitted to enter the ground - All entry will be through Augustus Street gate and exit will be Francis Street gate - Throughout the day you will be required to follow the Covid safety protocols for social distancing and good hygiene practices We hope everyone is able to follow these protocols so that we can all enjoy the Grand Final.
